false measles?

High fever of over 39 degree Celsius got us worried sick for our 15 month-old baby last week! Brought him to the PD twice, once on Monday and once on Wednesday!
Did a blood test and dengue test. Thank God dengue test was negative. Blood test revealed a virus. PD suspected it to be false measles!
What is false meales? High fever for about 3 days which after subsiding will see rashes appear all over the body! This was exactly what happened to boy boy! His fever stopped by the end of Day 3 and his body broke out in red rashes all over covering the sides of his face, body, shoulders, hands and legs.
The rashes began to subside after the second day they appeared. Now, after one week, he's back to normal - regained his appetite and playfulness and sleeping much better at night too!
An episode that terrorised us when we felt so helpless and worried, we are thankful our baby is well again now!
