Is breastfeeding really that tedious? Seem like its not an easy journey. I hope i can make it
Eating a lot is ok. I gained about 17kg for my first pregnancy. But lost back to my pre-pregnancy weight 2 months after I gave birth. All due to breastfeeding!
Ok 5 to 6k seem more reasonable for mount e haha having a baby in sg really exp haha hopefully can slim down before baby full month. I feel like a bear now!
Breastfeeding is tedious as you'll experience many downs (engorgements, lots of pumping, patience) and ups (the joy of bonding, oh yes! And saving on milk powder $)!
Yah I agree.. everything here is about the money. Some people do anything to get $$$$$. My prev gynae (runs her own clinic and gave me choice to deliver at mt a or mt e), quoted me 4~5k for natural and 8k~ for c-sect. Apparently she was twice my mother's gynae too. So in another word, she delivered me via c-sect.
I was with her until 36w when she suddenly told me that my baby had an abnormally big head (when the previous scan is alright) and I have to deliver via c-sect! started to have doubts in her and went to research about her in forums.. and my gut feeling was right. Apparently almost every mom who went to her delivered via c-sect due to babies with "problems". She was on want bao for being black hearted too. *rollseye*
She's located at AMK... so mummies beware!
Knock! Knock! Anybody home here???
After that, I went to Kandang Kerbau Hospital for a scan and my baby appeared to be normal! See, its so obvious that she's a big fat liar.. Yup, natural birth for my 1st. Totally no complications during labor and only stayed one night in the hospital with my baby. I would say that their efficiency level is quite high, nurses are polite and helpful, didnt give black face when I keep pressing for call button.. Food wise.. I didn't like it :')
Everyday is raining. Hating this rainy season!
Raining seasons are good for staying at home, chilling~~~
Not good if you're planning to go out. Hehehe!
It's great that yours was a smooth labor, unlike what the AMK gynae claimed to be. I think Kandang Kerbau Hospital is rather good, but because my gynae only delivers at Mount E. I got no choice but to follow wherever he practices.
Now when my baby girl falls sick, I always bring her to Kandang Kerbau Hospital instead of her pediatrician. I dont't quite like her pediatrician, her pediatrician is only for vaccinations. Falling ill, I'll bring her to Kandang Kerbau Hospital. They said it's meant to have the best and advanced medication.
But like you said, delivering at Kandang Kerbau Hospital is really affordable. Now Mount E has increased its rates again. Per night for a 1-bedder is about $3700. The last when I was admitted to a 1-bedder, i think i only paid $2600 per night. Also, Mount E only has 2 rooms of 2-bedder, the rest are all 1-bedder. BUT! The service is really good. I'm not a food person, so I was ok with the food there.
Vailey, I think it's only us chatting and sharing views in this forum. Hahahahahaha!
Everything is on the rise.. But from $2600 to $3700.. that's really a big difference! Imagine how many bulks of diapers you can buy with that amount.. :')
Couldn't go anywhere.. Already took 3 naps since morning. Feeling so lazy and unhealthy~
Vailey, so you got all your breastfeeding stuffs all ready? You bought the pump too? Which pump did you get?
Because if i have nth to do, my routine would be sleep wake eat sleep wake and eat till the night! !
I bought unimom forte! It's a dual pump. Few of my friends were using this brand and they gave me pretty good reviews about it, so i didn't even hesitate to buy. Hahaha below $300 for a double pump, why not!!
Then recently, my colleague came across this deal for Medela PISA pump (dual pump) and asked if I'm keen. So i bought it after asking my mummy friends. My mummy friends who are still breastfeeding now, told me that PISA is the strongest pump they've tried. I have not't open up the package to test yet, but I trust what they said.
The thing I hated the most for breastfeeding, is none other than engorgement!!! All it takes is just 1 movement, it is already like stabbing me slowly! Back then, I wish my boobs can just walk by themselves!!!
I think it's a relatively new brand from korea.. I heard about PISA too! It's almost twice the price of forte if im not wrong.. I tried manually expressing breast milk from my bestie's boobs before.. we tried so hard and so long, our hands were sore.. we only managed to collect a 50ml. So eventho ive no knowledge in pumps etc,I will never ever get a manual one!!
Engorgement wise.. I really hate it. Felt like two stones implanted in my chest. Cant even raise my arms!
Hi ladies anyone feeling tightness at the tummy? My tummy feel very tight after every meal and it lasts for hours. Really uncomfortable and I feel breathless....
Ya Kandang Kerbau Hospital is good. I stayed there when I removed my ovarian cyst and e service is superb!
Im feeling this too! Tight and heavy. .. :/ I only feel breathless when im trying to sleep.
Oh so it's not only me. At 5th month already like this, final stage how? Really uncomfortable. Some more I'm very short! I feel like my organs being squeezed
I cant rmb having any problems other than leg cramps during my 1st pregnancy.. This breathless and tightening thing is new to me and I seriously hope it will end soon!! Takes me very long to find a comfortable position..
