It is short term memory..
Haha I dont't think so...but I do have STM after birth...
excitedwifey me too also counting down for the test. Hope everything goes smoothly. I have told my gals friend and my colleagues no choice bcos I have to apply leave quite frequent. My MS started early when I knew I was pregnant. I even got spotting. My gyne need me to rest on bed. But now is fine.
Tannie me too also feel weak and walk slower. I like can feel my baby weight at the lower tummy.
JTS... if you r taking fish oil off the rack, pls make sure it is stated pregnancy sage. My gynae advised that some had very high EPA n it will cause bleeding....
Welcome ST Woo! Hi^5 2nd time mum! How old is your no.1?
Tannie, haha ya can be very troublesome.. my girl sometimes cannot keep still too.. and sweat alot .. i only nurse under cover in aircon.. Haha i guess it takes alot of practise? If not i find very restricted , gotta keep finding a room when outside.. haha Ya ppl stare.. i stare back loh.. nothing to be ashamed lol! haha
This pregnancy i feel weaker too.. but already not bad, can still force myself to summon strength to do chores and take care of my no.1. Last time no baby ca just chill and lie in bed.. now the chores are never ending and baby is always demanding attention.. i did not do a proper confinement the last round.. guess body already feeling the stress.. i black out easily when i stand up suddenly.. and i feel cold easily..
Yup! I always forget i'm pregnant.. still doing the usual things.. carry baby in carseat, carry her alot.. 8kg load.. bathe her, throw bath tub water.. etc.. run in n out of room.. jump up n down stairs.. carry all the grocery when out w her alone.. But my m/s reminds me i'm pregnant! lol I remember even after my baby was born, i still worry that i forget and sleep.. forget to feed baby, forget that she is around.. lol but its all post natal fears bah.. motherhood instinct kicks in alot... even now..
Oh ya! My STM got worse towards end of my pregnancy and after that its perpetually short memory after giving birth lol.. maybe baby took some of my brain cells? Or i'm just getting tired every day.. lol Long days for mummies!! A word of advise to first time mums! Please rest as much as you can.. enjoy your baths.. enjoy every moment.. after baby is out.. sleep is precious, toilet breaks are privileges and eating meals plus bathing is a luxury.. rest rest!!
Yes, yes! First time mum, rest as much as you can, enjoy as much as you could, go par tor with your hubby when free... can even go baby moon... after baby is out, personal time become luxury. .. unless you plan to be weekend parents. ..
excitedwifey my no.1 already 3 years old. I'm glad that my hubby help up with most of the housechores and take care of my boy. Now I feel that father and son bonding become closer. But I worry that me and my hubby got no time to spend together because of my pregnancy I'm staying at my parents place so that my mum can take of me.
I agreed rest and sleep is important for us. Rest well during confinement.
Meltie oh I should answer your question... peiseh...my boy now 3 years old.
Me also after given to my first one got short memory and easily forget thing. I think is common...haha
yes yes.. first time mummy.. njoy your freedom now! once the little one is out, you hardly have me time.. my girl will cry if she wake up and see that there's nobody in the room.. even if im just in e loo and telling her it's ok, mummy is here.. she will just go to the door and bang on it and cry and cry until I come out.. smetimes big business also gotta wait.. and meals have to be gobbled down quickly cos they get restless very easily.. wen she's still small, she will cry to be carried.. wen she's bigger now, she will try to climb out of the high chair.. sighz.. on rare occasions wen I go out for dinner with hubby alone, I will finish my food in 5min flat.. super well-trained by my girl oredi and forgot how to enjoy my food..
talking about short term memory.. I tink with this pregnancy, I got more absent-minded.. I very often leave the house without my keys or my hp.. once I pack baby milk powder and hot water and went out but forgot to bring her milk bottle.. argh.. now hubby keeps niaming me and said I shld do a checklist before I leave e house everytime.. and earlier this week I insisted the steriliser is spoilt cos there's no light.. wen hubby shifted it to another power socket, still no light so I insisted im right.. but then he did e simplest thing of switching on e steriliser (which I forgot!) and bingo, the light came on.. Omg!
Wow ST Woo, your no.1 should be more independent by now.. My hubby also helps out alot.. trained by me to be able to do everything for baby.. feed, make milk, bathe, change diaper, wipe down, put to sleep, play, read, walk her, take care of her. Lol now i try my best but wheni wake up in the morning, my arms n hands are stiff , so my hubby helps to change diaper for baby.. I think its best that hubbies help out! Really can rest abit more! I can go bathe while he puts her to sleep..
Lingz! Totally agree.. trained by baby , we can multitask , carry n eat.. or eat super fast lightning speed, bathe w door open n in 5 mins.. control poop n pee.. lol and not to mention tahan the sleepiness and tireness.. their smelly poop n leaks.. lol.. i also forgot to bring milk bottles before!! Rushed home at feed time!! Last time got afew times forgot to bring packed ebm!! Just last week i forgot to refill diapers in diaper bag.. had to go buy! kan chiong kan chiong! what absent minded mums we are!!
I also forgot to bring bottle to my mum house and my girl go on hunger strike, so got io rush to the supermarket n grab one, send home during lunch time... Thn hubby face black black, so angry! He never help to pack bag still dare to nag at me! But he does help out a lot taking care of my gal esp when I m sick which I appreciated very much. Hubby help is really impt.n to all first time mum, remember to get your hubby involve in taking care of baby.
Melting, How old is your no. 1
I'm 13 weeks today! But just gagged this morning! All thanks to the incense burning of my mother in law.. saturated the whole balcony and diaper changing area.. was changing baby's diaper.. choked me like mad.. :/ Then i went to brush teeth and gagged again.. Just managed to eat my breakfast... coz was bz w baby and getting nauseated w hunger!
I'm getting very gassy.. not sure if its coz i started adding onions to the ABC soup i made for my baby n me (for lunch).. today gonna drink same thing again coz need to use up the carrots, potatoes, tomatoes and onions.. Mummies, do you find anything gives you more gas? I'm personally lactose intolerant, so i avoid dairy as much.. and w a sensitive stomach, i skip nuts, broccoli florets, beans.. actually i avoided all during breastfeeding coz it caused colic in my baby.. was so serious that i only ate afew things for meals for months!

meltie, Ya I do not need to carry my boy and he can walk on his own at this age. When go out just bring a small bag will do....Hee. your girl now 14 mths old also very fun to play with. At this age, she must be very active learning how to walk....mummy must be very tire following her....
Same like you I got a sensitive tummy I also avoid dairy food. Very easily hungry.
Not sure you ladies have this problem my tummy has been feeling very cramp all the while. Is this normal? I cannot sleep in the night very uncomfortable.
Hello all! Another May 2014 mum-to-be here... EDD 20 May. My initial symptoms have somewhat subsided but I notice I'm more prone to getting sick these days (eg. flu, sensitive stomach etc) -_- Its my first pregnancy too so apprehensive but excited at the same time.
