not going to induce... just let it be natural... 3 weeks later for checkup .... though my gynae feels it isn't necessary anymore... lol... been having alot of breathlessness and heartburn... cramps on legs also getting more and more frequent... I keep having this feeling like something is pushing down my groin area...
now all I wish is for my girl to recover so I can have proper rest... now a little a little bit she keep on crying... especially though the night... cannot sleep at all...
Ya the weight through scans are just an estimate.. Can be very different.. Just a gauge..
Ya man, mothers always sacrifice the most ! The fathers just go to work and come back to eat n sleep.. When they sick, they stay away frm baby.. But when mothers are sick, we are still stuck w our babies.. Still gotta work through everything.. No excuse one.. i'm on call 24-7.... Even when hubby is at home whole day, baby is still left to me... :/ i have no breaks.... Like now.. I need to lie down to rest my burning groin, baby is in playpen beside me.. Hubby on com next door.. Zzz
jiayou charchia! Hope your little girl fully recovers asap! pls take care of yourself and get some rest when possible... !
Charchia, please take care. Hope your girl recovers very soon!
Meltie, chat with us here. You need to preserve your sanity! Hang in there! We all feel you especially with a toddler!
Shanice99, I never know what is the weight of my baby. My gynae never tell me about the weight of the baby. Even when I had my #1, I didnt know how much she weighs inside me. My gynae said it's inaccurate cos whatever weight that is weighed now contains our water bag, placenta and many other things inside. That's why he never believe in giving his patients the "baby's weight"...
Well, I guessed I trusted him well enough and never probe further. Sometimes, so envious to hear you all talk about your baby's weight here... Cos it's always a question mark to me...
the weight is not shown on your ultrasound scan?
jessybebee, I didnt notice. I'll go back and take a look... LOL!
Yeah.. baby weight is just an estimate.. sme gynaes measure thigh bone I heard.. mine measures baby tummy.. I did ask my gynae what is e level of accuracy, she says plus minus 100g.. quite accurate I suppose? For my #1, she was spot on with the weight.. My friend who has just delivered with my gynae said her baby came out +100g.. hehe..
Yeah meltie.. I feel you.. during wkends, my hubby expect me to handle my girl too.. but at least he handles e household chores.. I just need to bathe, cook and feed my girl and coax her to sleep.. the past week, I have been asking him to coax her to sleep at night cos I gotta work and also to give her a wipedown before bed cos it is getting harder for me to sit down on the mattress on the floor.. but I forsee him complaining very soon.. sighz.. the sacrifices a mother makes.. makes me appreciate my mummy even more..
Yeah! I will go crazy if no one talks to me the whole day! i am text-msging my friend who is trying to managing her 2mo baby, helping her abit, ranting too.. And clming here to rant.. Got a whatsapp mothers grp too.. Hmm i'm busy but i need to vent lol!
i cannot remember the weight prior to delivery .. Coz i think it was at least 1-2 weeks after the scan .. So it was just a gauge.. My gynae measures baby's tummy n head size.. the machine gives an estimate.. i think its plus minus 200g bah..
Hmm i'm soo tired.. Its another night of uncomfortably lying in bed, no position works abd once i doze, soon i'll be up to pee... :/ jiayou jiayou mummies!!
Lingz12! My hubby also complaining .. After he tried 2 nights ago to put my girl to sleep (took him 1hr plus) on the floor mattress, it was back to me yesterday.. And today i asked him, he said he bz .. So it was me again.. I need him to get used to putting her to sleep ... or else i not around how sia... Bathing wise i get him to do as part of bedtime routine.. Really hard for me to get down and carry her like a newborn.. Put her standing to bathe, she is like a monkey.. Aiyo.. I do wipe-downs after lunch .. Still carrying her up to table to change and all.. Today felt more preasure on tummy n thighs... Guess its alot of weight carrying both my babies!!!! dont't know how far this can go... But bo bian my little monkey goes crazy when allowed on floor.. I need to grab her or carry her to do stuff, or else i'll be chasing her around the house!
It's really tough handling a toddler when you are pregnant..salute to all the mummies who are expecting their 2nd child! My feet are getting so much more swollen these days, look like elephant feet manzz...baby's movements are getting stronger too making it uncomfortable sometimes. Will be going for the 36 week checkup next week, wonder how much baby will weigh by then..
Anyway, jiayou all mummies!! =)
Yap really tough to handle toddler while pregnant. I felt so tired even I have a lot of helps comparing to a lot mummies.
My gynea also measure baby's tummy for weight. My baby is 2.5kg at 35 wks. My #1 what estimated 2.8kg before birth but is 2.5kg at birth. Thou she not heavy but got hard time pushing her out cause she got big head... end up vacuum. ..
Actualli now that edd is round the corner, im starting to get kinda nervous.. My first labour was considered smooth though it was induced.. But my girl was small so considered easy to push out.. Now my gynae said my boy is a lot bigger and if I dont control my diet, it will be very hard for me to push him out.. She may need to use forceps or vacuum wen e time comes.. Scary ..
Actualli wen do gynaes decide they need to use forceps or vacuum? Will they ask us beforehand? Guess I need to communicate with my gynae more.. My friend who just delivered kena forceps and there's a little imprint on the baby forehead.. And I read stories on the net on how using forceps and vacuum is risky for the baby.. So worried now..
Lingz12, my gynae used forceps on my #1. He only informed me when I tried pushing and baby's head still there. When my #1 is out, I dont see any marks on the head at all. It's just being used for a very short and quick while; to aid in bringing the baby's head out only. Are there risks involved? I thought it's quite common? What are the risks?
I'm also getting excited and nervous now! Anticipating the thrill! But with our #1, i think this waiting game is much more bearable (in terms of the duration, it seemed shorter).
I still havent decide on 1-bedder or 2-bedder... Mummies registered for the wards already?
My gynea also decide last min when she see me no more strength to push n baby head cannot come out... vacuum very fast, after that got a red mark on baby's head but will go away.
I also getting worried how baby chose to appear. ..
Trying to pack my hospital bag... suddenly dont how to pack haha
But forceps and vacuum still sounds scary to me.. I suppose I mus trust my gynae's judgement and expertise in using them then..
I also have not packed hospital bag yet! Partly cos I scared baby tink im super ready and decide to make his appearance.. hahahaha.. a bit silly.. but then.. hahaha.. Tannie.. you delivering at Thomson Medical Center right? They have a list to pack, my gynae passed it to me.. so I will just pack as per e list..
Perkyperky.. I just went ahead and book single bed.. but they say can still change your mind upon admission.. at least for Thomson Medical Center .. not sure about other hospitals..
I referred to the list n realised what I need to pack is too little compared to my previous stay ha ha so abit worried if I missed out anything.
I chosen 2 bedded... dont want to waste money for hubby to stay over... n scare of staying alone... haha
I asked my gynae about booking the bed but he told me no need to book! is it true? he said when i admit then book, cos even if i book now, it's also subject to availability upon admission. so there's no use in booking now since also won't guarantee the ward/bed i want.. dont't know he got bluff me or not.. can any mummies delivering at Thomson Medical Center confirm this for me? thanks.
Jessybebee.. it's true that at Thomson Medical Center they dont guarantee you the room you want even if you book early.. they always say subject to availability.. that's y they say I can still change my mind upon admission.. but I still book first .. I tink kiasu sporean mentality.. hahaha.. plus got forms to fill .. might as well fill them earlier rather than during admission..
Lingz12, good choice! Cos I just spoken to my hubby and he asked me to go ahead to book whatever ward i want. So I'm deciding for 1-bedder again! Yippy!
I got the list from my nurse last week. And from that list, she only circled cardigan and newborn baby clothing to me. She said you stay 1-bedder, all are provided for. But then again, I feel awkward without my own set. So I'm going to just pack my own set of shampoo etc to bring over.
I think its just to reserve the ward. And yes, it's subjected to availability. Like for Mount E, the 2-bedder wards are always fully booked because they only have 2 rooms of 2-bedder wards, the rest are all 1-bedder.
Yes, it is subject to availability but the clinic had also help to book first, in case of emergency, at least they know your preference.
My gynae is Dr Wong Mun that.. His clinic is not at Thomson Medical Center itself.. maybe during my next appointment at 36weeks I ask the nurse instead cos my gynae everything also no need one haha..
