Aviva has shield insurance that does not need underwriting and you are automatically accepted.Just wondering if anyone here is in the same shoes as me.
To briefly give you a background: I'm in my early 30s, have a successful career, married and expecting a child in May. But I have no insurance coverage.
Not because I dont't want one or can't afford to pay - but no insurer want to even cover me as I have pre-existing medical condition. I've even gone to the extent of appealing in some cases telling them to give me exclusion clause to my existing medical condition and I can pay any additional loading but they still reject. I dont't think my medical condition is life threatening as compared to say cancer.
All I have is hypothyroid and moderate kidney disease (it's still functioning properly, not at full 100% but maybe 50-60%). So whilst i understand the riisk rationale from a company perspective to insure 'sick applicants' -- i can't help but have hatred towards insurance agents (understandably so).
I dont't know how many out there are in my shoes but it's depressing that I do not have something to fall back on at the end of the day. I only have 2 policies in Malaysia which isn't enough to cover in terms of today's cost.
Sometimes i wish they would just implement the same thing that they did in the US - to avail insurance to all regardless of pre-exisitng medical conditions
ok , that's my rant for today. if anyone's in the same shoe, do share
There are certain conditions though which must be explain in detail
