How much do you all spend? For me, I'm the kind that pay is 1.2k. but i spend 1.5k.
i can't save one lehz. dont know why. i every month before pay day alrady budget , but still overspend. cuz i only see my dear son on alt weekends. and he loves thomas n friends. so i usually spend bout 100+ every month on toys for him.
i think tis a stage that most young gals will go thru...i'very already passed that stage
I dont work so no salary ~
i know must save for rainy days.. but cuz i only see my son on alt weekends.. so i'll give him watever he wans if its within my means..
20% = CPF
35% = all allowance for the whole month / hp bill payment
30% = saving into our joint account
15% = dear son school fee & 1/4 car installment
So roughly i got 35% to spent a month.. =)
i onli spend $200 on myself every month for transport n food n save e rest...my husband pays for everything else
i also wanna find a 好老公.
My husband was the sole bread winner till last month.. I used to rely on $600 allowance for everything excluding bills.. very very very tight.. No $$$ for parents.. Wonder how we survive these 5 yrs.. GOD is really good !
Now, things improved so much as I'm working from home.. Can start saving and buy little things for myself ..
my husband will pay the bill and househood everything..( will also saving abit too).I work at home and part time...so i will safe all my pay and income...
Hubby pays everything but so far we have survive life here in SG. Needs one to be patient & humble, wait for the time when you will harvest the fruits of your labor. Having a tight budget before is never easy for me but it made me learn to be contented if I need to...
Usually we save 25% of our gross pay, then 20% goes into CPF. The rest are used to pay for car, kids' enrichment fees, school fees, handphones, parents' allowances, daily/monthly exps and whatever that we wanna spend on ourselves. Didnt exactly portion out how much we spend on ourselves but I guess as long as a certain amount is saved each month, we are allowed to spend on ourselves, including occasionaly indulgences.
Then I found out I was pregnant just as I started returning to work at new department, again, GOD provided me with understanding bosses and excellent colleagues n work environment....
last time i always tell my husband he is earning very little (compared to my previous BFs n other guy friends)....but GOD has provided....
our money seem like e 5 loaves of bread n 2 fishes.....when we need to buy things, money is always enuf although our pay isnt alot....
n after my husband started to believe in GOD, his work got better, his pay got better (yes, he is now earning double of his starting pay!!! Praise the Lord!!!)....
no matter what situation, GOD will provide....n you will be amazed at how he provides in his small little ways....
Empty vessels make the most noise
managed to survive since 2005 with a baby boy, the only savings we have are with insurance agents (long term money , can use to help my boy's edu when its time to go Uni/poly etc)... ... erm, seems to spend every single cent - maybe overspent even. Wanted to save more but just cannot - give parents, food, transport,bills...etc. Who knows what may happen tomorrow, so as long as healthy and happy and covered with insurance should be quite safe. We do have a fixed d for emergency but since then has not managed to set up another FD!!! oops --- gosh. must do something soon.
for me, my parents forced us to have good saving habit since young. seldom go shopping. dont go for branded stuff. so managed to save quite a bit. dont have the prob of overspending.
now temporarily semi-retired (due to my boy), most expenses on my hubby. unless i go out without hubby, if want buy or eat anything, then i'll pay. i very niao towards myself but very spendthrift towards my boy n hubby.
these are my expenditures:
125% --> bills!
i'm really struggling to pay off my cc bills. crazy woman - so caught up with novelty of cards then spend like mad.
hoping by mid next year it can reduce to:
20%: car (dear husband pays for most of it already anyway)
20%: dear son
about 70% of my salary goes to my wife. She is the Finance Minister and she is doing a good job so far.
for me, am saving more what i will spend =>
30% Joint savings
20% my savings
30% bills, transport, insurance, shopping for dear son, daily allowance for breakfast and lunch from Mon-Fri.
dear husband cover all other expenses not listed above.. hhahah..
family and child insurance, maid, weekday dinner allowance, car installments, coupons, petrol, chill out expenses, etc. . . .
for me, I find that money is not enough for me.
Electricity going to increase again.
Generally i will save a specific sum and then spend the rest. (50 percent)
My husband pays for the household expenses while i contribute to my son's future education
Perhaps would give him the lump sum when he turns 21 or when he settles down.
