Well, maybe I'm lucky. I get along very well with my mother in law. She is easy going. A matter of fact, during my two confinements, she came over to stay with me, together with my hubby and maid, she helped to look after my two kids then.
Oh yes, she has the house keys. It's convenient coz' at times, she may just wish to pop in.. maybe to spot-check my maid ...hee.. hee and see her grand-daughters.
Just a good relationship that me, my hubby, my mum and mother in law get to play mahjong overe the weekends. Is this great?
Treasure such moments as they are getting old.. if you know what I mean.

mu mum have my house keys, she have been looking after my son since birth. Now i am stay at home mum but so far so many years, my mum have not come w/out calling or
when we not at home.
My mother in law did ask dear husband for our house keys last time. Reason being she can come over to help tidy up our house. I told dear husband no, it is our house, so it is our responsibility not hers. Moreover we living so far at loyang while they at bt merah not practical.
My mother in law has my housekeys. She insisted on having 1 set when we got our house. Initially i didn't mind it but she kept popping by without informing us. Imagine the shock you get when you go and take a shower and suddenly when you come out there's someone else in the house... sigh.
I hope that when i shift in a few years time (hopefully i get to) to somewhere further from my mother in law and nearer to my mum, my hubby won't give in to her again and give her a set of keys again . For now, i have to tahan her coming over and trying to change things in my house. Sometimes i can't take it i'll just tell her not to touch my things. I dont know why , she thinks it's her house, always going into my room to do this and that. Sometimes she'd be ransacking my storeroom to see what she can throw away... FEDUP!!
My mother in law has our house key, hubby gave it to her as spare....even my mom also has one, but both so far has not popped by without informing us.......anyway, most of the time, me & hubby working while my son is at the infant care.
I will never never give my mother in law my house keys.. I even locked her outside my house before as in refused to open the door or answer my hp.. act as if I wasn't in.
I know it is not very nice of me to do this but she has to learn that it is not nice of her to pop by ppl's house without prior notice ya.
i koe kids dont know what is rite & wrong, i dont blame them, its mother in law, since she bring them here, y she never educate them to remove shoes when in ppl house? then husband's sister also another idiot, she saw the 2kids on the sofa with shoes on, just look at me & continue to play with them!
nxt time i bring my son to her house & let him step on her sofa, c how she react , idiot!
