I dont't expect anything from my child(ren).. be it financially, emotionally or educationally and so on.. let her be who she/he is.. purse the dream he/she has.. raise & provide them well and dont't expect anything in return.. love them unconditionally eventhough there's a chance they might not love me back.. i know now is easier said than that especially with education social pressure here.. but hopefully i can stick to my principle.. happiness is what i strive to give my child(ren)
just like my hubby's parents & my parents who bought each of us a home.. i intend to do the same for my child(ren).. giving them a roof over their heads.. hubby & I still saving up to accomplish that goal now
I dont't expect any from my children and only expect them to be sensible to save money for rainy days, unlike what's happening to my family now, my sister is using her 3 kids as a leverage to ask money from my Dad.. Few hundred to 1k per month.. Go out no come back somemore.. I feel heart pain for my dad and his savings already no more money.. dont't know how he going to survive when he retires in June..
I keep gold as an investment. Bought it at 700usd level. So, enjoying it now. If they give, it is a bonus.
expect nothing when you did not suport your parents/ spouse parents.. this is what you have seeds..now it the harvest season... sigh..
