hihi, congrats on your pregnancy again! i guess i kinda understand some of your frustrations.
when i was preggie, in laws made sure no holes were drilled in the whole house, not even for one small hook for our wedding photo (thank goodness for 3M)! it may be very irritating since it means not having the aircon in the horrid weather, but if you look at it frm their point of view, its becos they care and believe its for your own good! sometimes staying with in laws requires give and take.
as for staying in a 'crowded' house, i think i have it worse off! i came from a small family, just my parents, bro and me. but after marriage, i moved in with my in laws (hubby and i havent applied for hdb). imagine this:
1 hdb flat, 5 adults, 4 kids, 2 infants. that's 11 people in total. and yes, it's noisy, crowded, have to take turns using toilet, very messy (with 4 kids, imagine the toys and clothes!) and very little privacy even in your room.
at times i'm really very very vexed with my living conditions, asking myself why i get pregnant and marry so young when have not apply hdb. but then again, when everybody is out and left me alone at home with darling baby, i miss having ppl around to talk to, and who will offer to help with or play with baby. i dont't agree 100% with the way my in laws bring up their children, but i appreciate that they love their children.
sometimes just need to take a step back, cool off, and try to look for the silver lining around the dark clouds.
