3 weeks old dear daughter is breastfeed hourly starting from 9pm till 4am!!!!
Aiyo, despite we bottlefed her 60ml EBM, she still look out for my breast from night time onwards. Given pacificer, pat her, rock her, still look for my breast for additional milk. Wondering she is still hungry or just want my breast for comfort. What to do? This cant go on, if not a panda will be found in house.
ya... it is like that.. they do not know the difference between day and night. If that is the case, day time, when she sleeps, you have to sleep too, otherwise you will have no energy to look after her at night.
3weeks old only.. give her what she want.. and it's normal for new born to ask for milk every 1-2hour.. so poor if you ignore her, she is still so young.. ai yo.. sim tia...
or is it she feel unsecure? so she keep want to look for mummy breast..
I agree with joeybeadz. Must be a growth spurt, so she needs more feeding for a few days. Have the same schedule as her. If you can express milk, ask somebody else to give her the milk while you are sleeping.
Starting from last night, gave her 50ml EBM + Latch On @ 8pm, 70ml EBM + Latch On @ 11pm, Latch on @1am, 3am, 5am and 7am. Will continue her feeding pattern, my confinement nanny is telling me, I need to stretch out the timing. And my hubby is telling to use Yao Lan. Aiyo...I just want to follow my dear daughter cue, bt really tiring.
I remembered mine slept after suckle.. sometimes, you have to distact her with other things..if cannot work, means she wants milk.
As newborn baby's parent, must be get prepared for these tiring work..
Yes, I think 3 weeks your baby should be started to smile oredy esp after milk.. which means your baby drink enough milk and satisfy..
Aiyo, dear daughter drop the suckle becos she fallen into deep sleep with her mouth open. Seriously, dont know whether she got enough milk or not. To me, as long she not crying or fussing, I am ok with it.
