you will feel depressed on this issue cos this is consider very sudden, you only have a few days to accept this fact. BUT c-sect is not end of the world. most impt is to deliver the baby safely (and of cos, mummy's safety). everyone is diffe, esp now the head is up, so c-sect might be the best way to deliver him out.
I had c-sect at Thomson Medical Center. i took 4 bedded (free upgraded to 2 bedded). the total bills came up to be around 6.4k and we paid 3.9k from medisave, the rest cash. dont wry, i think Mt A will be slightly cheaper (as what most mummies told me, and after some comparision)..
after c-sect, the 1st day usually you will asked to stay in your bed, cannot come down. 2nd day your gynae will ask you to come down and walk. and pls, WALK AS MUST AS POSSIBLE from day 2 onwards. Many ppl said c-sect or after any OP, cannot walk alot but the fact is, you have to walk more in order to recover faster. (according to my gynae and nurse friend)
I walk alot from day 2 onwards and a week later, the pain level of my wound dropped alot, Just those mild pain unless i my action is too big..
Some ppl said must avoid chk and eggs to prevent infection. But I had Chk sausage muffin 2nd day after c-sect, had curry puff during confinement, but my wound was ok, no infection etc.. So I assume that this is just another old wives tales. whether will get infection anot, all depends on one's skin condition =)
