Mummies pls share your experiences n recipes so that i can help my lovely boy take tis nxt big step.
my angmo pediatrician actually dont recommend us to feed baby on cereal or porridge. Vegetable and fruits puree are the best.
baby first food not necessaryly be cereal. Apple / Avocado puree make a great baby first food.
i always refer to this site before preparing a new food to dear son. It stated age recommendation for most of the foods, how to select vege/fruits and recipes..

This is the list from my pediatrician, on the flow of food to introduce to babies. It starts from the food that is known to cause least allergy, to those more prone. Everytime you introduce a new food, must introduce for 1 week, and only 1-2 spoons each time) Porridge is usually from 8mths onwards.
White Rice Cereal
(can start from 4 months, but pediatrician usually recommend 6 months onwards)
Brown Rice Cereal
(usually at 6 mths, but my baby started from 4mths and no allergy)
(my baby had a very bad reaction. After trying again the next week, and again, now he is not allergic to it anymore)
(my baby started from 4mths)
(can start from 6mths)
(Those below, try to give only after 9 mths)
If you are worried about allergic reactions, give them organic cereal because brands like ORAGNIX, usually dont't contain milk traces, whereas brands off the shelfs usually do contain milk. I know a lot of people giving Cerealac and you can request for free sample and try 1st: http://188.8.131.52/Nestle_Nutrition/CERELAC_Sample.aspx
