Hi... can anyone give mi suggestions of what brand of diapers is moe suitable for newborn?
mamypoko & huggies (green pakaging, size S for newborn) is the best for my newborn
Its baby gal... not born yet, EDD on 9 Aug
mamypoko and drypers.
Also depends if leaks. My baby last time use mamypoko and drypers not much leaking, but currently mamypoko leaks when watery poo comes.
i've used pampers, drypers and huggies. Pampers was always a little too big for my girls so always leak. drypers fits well but i didn't like the tape they use as it is quite difficult when removing the diaper. had to use a little bit of force. i find that huggies newborn is the best for my current baby girl as it fits well and the tape is also quite good.
Tried pampers, huggies and drypers. Like both pampers and huggies, drypers dont't like as it as I dont't like their tape as well. pampers fit my baby nicely, but huggies bottom part abit loose, but still ok. Want to try mamypoko next.
HUGGIES... you won't regret it...
I like Huggies NB. There was a promotion for Huggies at NTUC whereby you can exchange for rompers with 2 packs Huggies. Not sure if its still on so you might want to check with Huggies directly 1800-HUGGIES (1800-484437).
In addition, you can also get free samples (usually 1-2 pcs) from the various brands to see which one you like better.

I use pamper brand for my boy, tried huggies and dryper but he got rash.
mamy poker when he grew older.
try to get those sample for trying it will helps.. buying a big pack is costly..
For first month, my boy wore traditional cloth diapers in the day and Mamy Poko at night.
2 months old: modern cloth diapers in the day and Mamy Poko at night
He is a heavy-wetter and pees through Mamy Poko after 5-6 hours.
Ever since: modern cloth diapers day and night since can increase absorbency to last 12 hours. E.g. reviewed at Moo Moo Kow‚ĄĘ One-Size Cloth Diapers |
My son is now using Drypers & manypoko.... both r good... i use drypers in the day & manypoko @ night.....but i also feel that petpet is not bad... i use the sample pack... i like it...
Tried Goo.n but didn't like it. Tried Drypers also didn't like it because the tape, like the other forumer said, need to use some force and not the "velcro" type.
My boy's using huggies now.. Thot of trying other brands.. How to get samples? N is fitti cheaper than huggies?
Anyone try Napier diapers before? I heard is door to door delivery.
Use Huggies Ultra.. they say its clinically proven to tackle the diaper rash problem.. Since then i've used Huggies Ultra series.. very absorbent and gentle on their skin..
for newborn you might wanna give pampers active a shot(green packaging)
they r thinner n real soft.Mamy poko is good too but its a little thicker..better for nite use if you r not changing diapers every 3 hours.
wow... there is so so so much suggestions for diapers... for every brand, there is at least a praise for it... looks like when my gal is born, i gonna try diff brands till i found a nice n fitting one... thks mummies!!!
Hi huishan, you no need to buy newborn diaper as hospital will give 1 pkt. maybe just buy 1 pkt newborn then the rest buy small size.
I tried the following brands for my girl, here's my views:
Fitti - Hospital give 1 pack, not bad for newborn
Pet Pet - Good and cheap, value for money, suitable for newborn, but the tape is very strong, you need to use abit of force to open it.
Drypers - the tape is worse than Pet Pet, and when force open, it is loud... and it sticks on my baby's skin sometimes...I personally dont't like
Huggies Newborn (green pack) - quite suitable for newborn and the tape is the velco type
Huggies Ultra - Very good
MamyPoko - Very good cos it can hold urine and poo well. I am using right now and will try to stock it up when there are offers.
Pampers - quite costly and always leak
Pureen - so so only, not very recommended
