Erm erm... I can still cross my legs... But at the same time still feel hard....:/ so no idea what that mean...
Pipilili, what are you gonna do to keep ureself sane till edd?
Jess, ure working for ure dad? Shouldn't he b excited about his grandchild and cut you some slack...
I'm gonna faint each night... My 8 kg daughter weighs a ton now esp when she's resting on belly while i'm carrying her... sigh... But I love hugging her...
yea.. working for family business hence the 2hours travel and transportation :P and also naps in the afternoon :X but i think he trust me to judge that i will work for him when i can and till i can take it haha.. :P we didnt really plan the ML but im taking days off when im too tired or work out of office hours or at home.. gonna be working when baby pops too.. just emails and all.. hopefully not too chaotic at work..
hehe.. my husb also very procrastinating at the beginning till i bug him.. cos gotta air the cot and give it a wipe first..
sigh.... With Adriana... I was still doing work but from home during ML... Cause i was bored
But with the 2nd girl; Alessandra .. dont't think i would have the time anymore ...
Even my guy hinted that my work would have to take a back seat and time to prioritize the girls..which I've to agree...
But I've never seen myself as a full time mom.... sigh...
tts a sweet name!
yea.. we mums always have to take a step back and prioritise the children. but i too cannot see myself as a full time mum.. sometimes i wonder how my mum manages and absolutely salutes her..
alot of people is like "if your family supports, why not quickly have a few more and stay at home FT".. they just dont get it do they?
Baby engaged that means we can deliver any time? Or baby engage means baby head down already?
Lol, thanks.... Adriana and Alessandra are both Victoria S angels..( coincidentaly)
Really would have to respect our mom's n mom in law's time, I think the hubbies were less hands on then... They hardly had any of
the classes during the delivery to educate them about mother hood and they dont't have ML to recoup back health!...
My baby cot is done and finally shifted it to the right position. (you know how chinese doesn't like the baby cot to face the door) We re-shifted it so that the baby cot is right b/w the maid and CL's bed. Hahaha, like that both of them can help chk on baby. *good idea*
jocelyn, engage = enter the chamber ready to fire! lol..
engel.. but it's also thru my mum that i feel i cannot give up my job.. because she gave up her whole life for us.. and when we all grew up she had some sort of crisis, she was at lost. suddenly felt unneeded. but this is also why my husb and i decided not to move out after getting married.
pipi.. my cot faces the door, and this is the only space available. but baby will not face the door.. she will sleep and face the wall opposite the door.. i hope this is OK
jovin mummy.. dont worry! you can always come and talk to us! we can accompany you till you pop/your hubby comes home.. <5 more weeks!
My hubby has just set up the baby cot yesterday night too but have not decide how to put it yet.
Anyway, did you all put the cot in your room or baby's room? Cos I am still comtemplating on where to put now
Your girls have got nice names... Maybe we can start sharing our babies' names here if you all have decided on it.
mine's in my room cos we dont have a baby room :P
Anyone getting cramps? I get this cramp once in awhile and my tummy feels so hard! See gyn only this wed, hope all is fine
Also my tummy is hard too, some times tummy a bit pain when i sit for too long. My baby loves to distributed me when i try to lie down and sleep at night, which makes me very hard to sleep. Also weather is so hot like i am going to melt.
When your EDD jovin?
Omg... Adriana has been sleeping facing the door at both homes actually( both mine and my guy's) since birth...:/ didn't know about the 'pantang' though my guy and my mom is Chinese?.... Errrrr....
New cots are gonna b in his and my room in our respective houses... ... Yes we've to get everything in pairs ...
And would still need a Chinese name for Alessandra... My mom is complaining very hard to pronouce her name...
Jovin; I get cramps only when I feel like shitting( I assume tummy cramps?) More often now actually....tummy has been feeling tight since a wk ago... Can't fit into maternity jeans ne more.... got to wear dresses which are so not me... Sigh...How long would ure hubby b away?
Jess; your mom is gonna b kept busy with ure new bundle of joy.... It'll b nice , cause she brought the life back to my mom... I'm sure it'll b the same for ure mom...
baby is at 2.6kg at 36 wks today .... Cause of her weight, gynea was cautioning me that she might b due earlier, cause I went into labour when 1st baby was 2.9 kg... Apparently the weight should b almost the same for most cases....sigh...Pls dont't pop while I'm at work...:/
engel: My baby is 2.5kg at 36 weeks. Sharks, does that mean my baby will arrive early too?
jess: When I said the baby cot face the door means either the baby head/leg will face the door, and this is not good for baby. (if you believe in fengshui)
Prev, we went to HK with a grp of friends. To save $, 6 of us squeeze in 1 hotel room. *yep, you can imagine cos we were young and poor then* The gals slept on the bed while the guys find space to sleep on the floor. My hubby was sleeping with his legs facing the main door. Around the time whr we are all going to fall asleep, my hubby suddenly shouted some vulgarities cos he thought the guys went to pull his legs...but actually no one did it cos all of us were dozing off. After that, I really felt very creepy.
Piggyhui: My legs also very suan, but not b/c of leg cramp but I think my legs cannot take the weight of baby. I put on a total of 14 kg. My mum was suggesting I get some frog's porridge to eat cos it actually helps relief joint aches. (cos my mum got achy leg joints and she is taking double boiled froggy soup) I am going to get "gong bao froggy porridge" this weekend. Yummy!! Hopefully after that my legs will be more powerful. At least not so suan and achy.
Nah.... Most babies are above 3kg if I'm not mistaken.. dont't worry. Just that gynea took note of 1st baby's weight n size to compare; I'm not even sure if our bodies work in a way that once baby hits certain weight we would 'discharge' her...:/ I'll just 'orh' at gynea when she mentions such stuff cause she'll know better...
i can barely climb up stairs without resting every few steps to catch my breath and massage my thighs.. they feel so weak. my belly is getting huge!
pipi.. yea.. i know about the fengshui but the only place we have is for the cot to face the door, but i adjusted so made sure baby faces away from the door :P thats for confined areas in HK..
engel... i thinking exactly the same.. but everyone at home is very excited with her arrival. but im not sure if everyone can handle the change.. *fingers crossed*
Jess: understand what you mean cos my cousin married a hong konger, but they have sinced moved to sg after the "huay gui" aka return to china.
i think as long as baby head/leg not facing the door, it should be ok. i also abit "pantang" aka superstitious, esp after hubby kenna the ghost pull leg incident.
Jess: When I am at my parent's pl, I also need to climb from L1 - L2, by then I will be panting...It's only 1 flight of stairs and I am breathless by the time I come up. But I think about it, maybe normal also cos I put on a total of 14 kg already.
For the first time this morning, I got a minor leg cramp when trying to get off the bed. It wasn't VERY painful but still slightly pain. I think I really need to have some froggy porridge to boost up my leg muscles.
Engel: You mean when baby reached the max weight our body can contain, they will pop out automatically. Hmmm...maybe you are right yeah. I asked gynae this stupid qn: Why is it small thin women, and tall big sized women also got to wait for 10 cm dilation. Why bigger women no need to wait till longer dilation since they will have a bigger baby? Then gynae told me - that's the estimated dilation before baby can pop out from very. (sounds logical so did not ask anymore)
thought of going back to my mum's place, but I cant sleep.. will miss my bed. So Maybe I may just stay hm..tonight. Pray.. nothing goes wrong.
Engel: yar.. I have this tummy tightening feeling too. Cant really eat much but I am hungry Was long on dress unless those with elastic band type of shorts..
Heard of the "lightening" feeling? hahah what a relief if you get this.. Now feeling the rib going to burst anytime.. sigh..
Jia You!!! to all mummies!!
hehe your q to the gynae is very cute! in never thought of that difference i always thought its the best width to accomodate the baby's head without tearing much :P
when we moved to our current place, my husb and i deliberately offered to take the room at the ground floor without having to climb up the stairs. nowadays i go up to my parents room i feel like dying! i slowly crawl up and then plop myself on their bed instantly to catch my breath and rest my wobbly thighs!
arghhh.. my colleague coughing in the office without covering her mouth.. DAMN IRRITATING! ive been glaring at her.. and other colleagues come over also just voice out saying "you should move out!" =_=
Pipilili... I've no idea about max weight ... just that gynea mentioned it, and I found it amusing... Haha...
This is not good... I'm sleepy even before reaching work.....
