i'll be staying with my in-laws after baby arrives .. i cannot remember if my sis-in-law's baby's clothes were washed separately or not .. so i dont know if my mother in law will make noise if i ask my maid to wash baby's clothes separately. later she complain we use so much water .. =\
welcome to the forum~
i'll be delivering at Thomson Medical Center too
i cant answer much of your qns, but i try
1. i was adviced not to get too many newborn-sized clothes as babies grow out of it very quickly. a friend told me some clothes were worn less than twice! another friend told me to prepare more 3 to 6mth clothes, that way they'll last longer. my mother in law's place have a stack of baby clothes .. i havent had time to sort them out yet .. will go there to stock-take soon .. if all's good i wont be buying much .. will only buy for cny, and baby shower + a couple of new piece ..
2. i think i'll prepare formula milk for baby to drink before we retire to bed at night .. heard its more filling. but i may start after i go back to work. im not getting a sterilizer ..
3. i may buy mamy poko for night use and drypers to try for day use. maybe 1 small pack of nb size, the rest S. if nb size not enough i can get husband to get for me ..
4. my mother in law's doing my confinement for me ..
5. i've just booked a malay massage lady recommended by a colleague. a number of ppl from my office used her after delivery. another colleague of mine recommended origins, you can try that ..

dont argue better, since we will need their help ..
if she want to wash using adult detergent then let her ..
but when i go back to my own place on weekends i'll wash separately myself =\
try to apply something moisturizing! i bought clarin's oil, and use it twice a day, after shower
tummy itches less now
as our babies gets bigger we'll get more clumsy .. just be more careful, dont bump into anything! lol. my tummy gets in the way sometimes
i'm taking 4bed ward, basically cause im a scaredy cat. being alone drives me nuts
and my husband says, its just for a night or 2
Actually if you afraid of using alot of water, what my mom did was re-use some of baby's bathwater, soak the clothes inside, scrub then rinse with clean water after that. So at least she wouldn't complain at much?
if you want to take a 1 bedded can ask hubby stay overnight with you? then at least not alone?
lol my husband say, "1-2 night only, no need .." later part see how lol
use more for adult clothings very fast can finish !
i think stain really is the worst part! so all clothing done?!
oh your mother in law make noise is cos you use too much water ar?... faintzzzz but if really no choice let her know or you recall back and see sister In law's baby's clothes were washed separately.
you nb clothing is pack separately?
yea use it for adult clothing then can fast finish up ;p
lol. since baby bath everyday, so at least everyday have bath water to wash. lol.
I think my #1 & #2 will start fighting real soon.
lol, I think #2 hear his jiejie's voice, very scared hence trying to move into a secured corner of my tummy! lol.
Missesjoanna, onli manage to wash those new buy one arrange all Nb stuffs in order. The stain ones have to wait next week . Cos need go kiddy palace buy another detergent. But sat go see gynae so onli can wash on sun or week after. you also going to gynae next week rite?
Me also go Ntuc on weekdays after wrk cos weekend is so jialet to q.
Yes yes, future neighbour!
Yes, the Pureen ABD detergent is sold at Kiddy Palace stores and more for stools I think but must soak... The yellowish stain from the poo also gone... Comfort Ultra Pure is the one n advertisement now... Smells heavenly to me! But dont't use too much as the smell can be overpowering as it is concentrated...
Good morn Ladies!
So all of you seems to finish washing baby's stuff!
Shame on me as I have not't gotten ready everything.
But I was at JB yesterday and managed to buy some baby clothes, the price range from RM5 per piece to RM16 per set (which is about SGD2.10 to SGD6.70). Is it cheap or exp?
I got mixture of NB, 3 to 6 mths and 6 to 9 mths, about 8 sets (inclusive of 2 long pants/ sleeves as PJ).
I hope it's enough.
Also bought some diapers, chose the cheapest brand which is Drypers NB Soft for up to 5kg use featuring stool lock control 56 pcs at RM29 (SGD12.10). is this ok? I didn't check the price in SG so I not sure about diaper pricing here.
Also got some fragrance free baby wipes in value pack consists of 160 pices at RM11.
I think for baby detergent, wash, lotion etc, I will get fragrance free since I got eczema and is allergy to fragrance so afraid baby will inherit from me.
Another silly Qn from me, for PJ, I know need to get front button type, but is it better to get pants or dress type?
Nursing bra, when is the best time to get?
Our breast is developing and may change till child birth, when should we get, week 34 or 36?
I have not't buy baby cot yet as I m contemplating whether to get play pan which can be used as cot, chnaging desk and play pan (can be level up and down). If pan, then I can restrict baby's movement when CL is gone since I be handling baby by myself, just push the pan around in living room or BD whereever convenient.
I only ve 2 bd so space is a constraint, if I ve cot, I can't have play pan, vice versa.
Also if CL come, will be pretty squeeze.
My friend also shared with me that it could be safer to let baby sleep on mattress on the floor so that baby wont climb, roll over and fall as she gets older.
What is your take?
