Baby Bedtime Rituals - how to organize baby sleep patterns
anyway it s a wrong assumption that fm is more fattening than breast milk and thus allows babies to sleep longer at night. Old folks always want to intro fm due to that reason. Have to explain that no matter what breast milk is still the best.
What do you all do when your baby is awake playing on her own? Do you stay around her?
When baby awake, will let her play at her gym, of on the music for her ..
occasionally show up to her.. then i will do my own stuff, unless i have done my chores, then i will play with her , like let her grib my fingers, let her touch her legs or exercise her..
my baby will scream when she see no one.. but then when she see me, then she will like want to talk to me.. haha..
let her stay up about hour plus then put her to sleep..
but i read somewhere baby day time sleeping will getting less ..
When she is awake, there bound to be someone who would be with her, be it my mother in law or niece or myself. Unless she quietly lie there without people realising
I will talk to her, play with her, sing nursery rhymes to her. Yesterday I started bringing her to the park and show her green grass, red flower, blue sky, aeroplane etc... In the mornin when i concuss, my mother in law will also bring her outside to see cars. I have also asked her to let her play on her gym and also let her lie on her front to exercise her neck.
I think I m a kiasu parent. I have ordered the Your Baby Can Read DVD from a spree. But I m still a little skeptical about letting her watch tv so young. I m thinking of showing her flash cards too.
Aren't you glad you got people in the house to help out when you r concuss. I miss my days in kl where my nephew, mom and dad can help to carry her.
When she's awake she hardly stay alone always want me to carry her. Only free time I have to boil some red dates water or have lunch is when she's asleep.
What I do know is breast milk is lighter than fm. And I came across this article from http://kidshealth.org/parent/growth/..._feeding.html#
that states breast milk digests faster than fm thus more feeding compared to fm. Well I think both fm and breast milk have their pros n cons.

I just had a traumatic experience at Tangs nursing room. I went shopping in Orchard and had to express milk. I remembered that there were 2 separate nursing rooms with washing basins in Tangs, as such, made my way there. I remembered that I saw on babycentre that the nursing room was at Level 3 but when I asked the staff at the cashier, she directed me to Level 4. When I was at Level 4, I couldn't find it either until I asked a staff and he even showed me the way to the nursing room. I chose the room with the lights on. As I was with a friend, I asked her to go look around first and give me 20 min.
After I was done and washing my funnels and cups, I heard someone knocking at the door and a guy's voice asking if anyone was inside, and I replied yes. A few moments later there were knockings again and a guy's voice asked if I was a staff and I said no. And a few moments later, someone knocked again and said they needed the room, then I told them I would be done in 2 min.
When I opened the door, I was shocked. There were like 5-6 or more angry looking guys (male staff) standing outside and I saw my friend standing right at the door and she was asking them this is a nursing room right? And I repeated the same question if this was a nursing room. They kept asking me what I was doing inside the room. One asked if I was trying clothes inside? From what I remember, Level 4 does not sell any clothing. Another one asked me whether was I looking for a washroom and said it's at the other end. But we told them that we needed the nursing room and not the toilet. A female staff asked me what I was doing inside and I told her I was expressing milk. Anything wrong with expressing milk in a nursing room? I felt really bad, as if I did something wrong. I merely just wanted to express milk that's all.
Apparently my friend said when she returned to the nursing room area 20 min later, she was surprised to see so many people oustide, even the security was called but left before I came out. For a moment, she thought I fainted in the room or something and needed medical help. She also saw that they were getting more and more guys to go over and initially there were some ladies there but they moved aside. Were they going to break down the door if I hadn't come out fast enough?
We had gone to complain to the manager and he brought us to the customer service section. Luckily my friend was there for I was so traumatised then that I could not talk for a while. When my friend was recounting what had happened to the manager, I could not take it that I started tearing. On seeing the situation, the manager had escalated to the senior manager. The senior manager, a lady, kept comforting me and had offered to bring me to drink coffee. Well, I was so shaken that I couldn't wait to leave that place. Anyway, she said they would investigate what had happened and she passed my friend her name card and asked her to contact them if anything were to happen to me later on. Hopefully they will be able to give me an answer on what exactly was happening.
Who are those male staff? What was that room used for? Is it their pantry or something? Maybe it wasn't meant to be locked and only to be used by male staff there so they really shocked why a female hiding inside. So what was the outcome of investigation? Poor girl, they are being so rude to their patron.
