This is a discussion on EDD May 2011 within the Year 2011 and earlier Mummy forum, part of the Mummy Meeting Place category; Originally Posted by lsy Haha started my young coconut long ago. :P Actually i prefer those green ones ...the sweetest ...
i have also started drinking coconut juice. am 35 wks now so if aim to give birth at 38/39 wks, now start just nice. i bought my coconuts from ntuc, it says 'young coconut' on a sticker outside. my aunt told me not to buy those small brownish ones usually found at pasar malam cos they are 'volcano coconuts' and they're heaty. so not good for inducing birth.
i'm also stepping up on my exercise. i have a friend who was super 'on' when she was preggy last time. she would climb stairs, walk up slopes 3x a wk during last trimester. and around e last month, she literally climbed up stairs to her 10 floor flat 2x a day!!
i just tried climbing up stairs to my 9 floor flat yesterday w my hubby. went up slowly, stil ok, not too bad.... haha!!
wil try again tomorrow. hopefully like my friend, can have a very fast n smooth natural delivery! (btw, she laboured for a mere 3hrs and delivered a rather heavy 3.7kg baby!)
any mummies have more tips to share on making delivery easier?
I also watched the videos and was super freaked out after that. But must think it this way that natural+epi is only 1 time pain, at most pain for 2 weeks coz of episiotomy, but c-sec, the pain is there for months and the pain comes from within.
everything tmrw.. maybe I will opt for 4 bedded onwards cos quite
scared to sleep in hospital.. lols..
and when are you applying for ML since our edd is pretty near.. I am applying around 10th of May

anyone can advise during confinement period, what are the neccessary things we need? though i gave birth a year plus ago, but still scared will forget to buy the impt things..
the things i've thought of:
hi hi! if you opt for 4 bedded, you'll surely have lotsa company! but 1 bedded your hubby can stay overnight with you and you can also keep your baby in the room for much longer.
i'm on permanent ML ! hahaha!! gotta quit my job once preggy =(
if you stil feel strong, guess you can carry on working til 2 wks before EDD......
otherwise, maybe slightly earlier? seems fr EDD Apr thread that most deliveries happen 7-14days before EDD.
so it might happen to us too. better to have enuf time to prepare....
Kandang Kerbau Hospital wil give you a list of items they provide n also a list of things they encourage us to bring when you sign your delivery package.
i have started to put my baby stuff, hubby's n my extra clothes, certs inside my trolley bag.
e last of e items i'll put in later...eg. toiletries, hp charger etc.
bet you must be excited to see baby tmrw!! keep us updated k? have a good rest tonight.....
i wanted to bring a real cute bodysuit for baby to wear when checking out but my sis-in-law says better to let baby wear button top n pants cos bodysuit might be tight over the umbilical cord. dont wanna cause any strain to e stump before it falls off naturally.... also she says to ensure diaper top doesn't rub over it by folding it down a little.
just to take note mummies.....
As for diaper isn't it new born diapers have special lower cut to accommodate the um cord. Or is it nb diaper also could be too big still need to fold?
Hi all ,
need to bring husband bank book and also marriage cert ?
I didn't pack for baby at all as the doc said Thomson Medical Center will provide all for baby.
Ya my mum said it's better to wear front button clothes for new born as it's easier to wear on and also won't strain the baby hands .
