How much you pumped out is not a measurement of
how much milk your body is producing.. Rather urine n stools
count r more impt to take note of..
If you r havin engorgement means your milk r comin in alrdy
do massage to clear the ducts n your milk will b flowing!!

I will try to latch her on as frequent as possible despite her screaming and crying because of the slow milk flow compared to the bottle.. I only managed to feed her once yesterday.. hehe..
Dont worry dear, as long as its dropping, its a good sign.. mine baby is already 3 weeks and the level is really dropping slowly.. feed your baby more often, so that she can poo more to get rid of the bilirubin.. try your best to wake your baby up, disturb him, make him uncomfy so that he can suckle.. the lactation consultant told me to stroke her cheeks, but its doesnt work for my baby.. I'll need to touch her nose, her jaw bone or slight pull my nipple out slightly so she can suck it back in and she will then continue to suckle..
you too jia you ok? I'll be meeting my Ped later, you want me to help you ask anything?
tts nice of you but its ok I guess I ve no enquiries at the moment.. I will wait for the check on wed and c how..hee
actually no one told me to stop bf but I thot it might help that I cross feed him w FM to make the level drop.. hahahha
but till now I cant bring myself to start LOL
Wow! tts great news hearing you feed her ytd.. hee.. contd and very soon your baby will latch like a pro and start suckling again!!
My baby also cry, struggle n sometimes kick or push my breast away but I will usually shove it into his mouth and
he will b quiet again hahahaa.. ya.. my baby is slpy too.. but guess tts the nature of newborn.. lols..
Take care alrite n rem to wear more clothings when you go out
my baby is hungry and soon enough he will start to cry..lols
o regarding the urine n stools, its best for mummies to nite down their feeding time and number of stools n urine..
The minimum requirement is 6-8 wet nappies n 2-3 stools in 24 hours per day.. and by day 7-10, the baby shld ve regain his wt when he was born..
on day 4th-5th, as milk supply increases, your baby shld ve 3-8 stools n wet nappies shld increase too..
And a well fed baby usually look contented.. haaha
hi whomovedmycheese & esther Kuan. What's your babies weight already?
O my baby is only 2.8-2.9kg at most.. so weight is not a concern for my gynae. He say if she's too big then he will wanna induce me soon. If not, can still wait..
I see. Since your dr said ok to wait, then should be fine. I asked my dr about the percentage of induced case evautually need to go for emergency c section. He said 20%. But I forgot to ask if majority of the 20% r first time mummy or not..
any mummies with prob of sore nipples during bf-ing?
my baby's about 3.1 to 3.3 kg now...
doc says can't get proper measurement as head's deeply engaged, can't see fully.
he'll check for fluid n placenta health n if neck's free from cord.
next appt is wed, 7days overdue.
we're prepared to wait til sat, 10days overdue before deciding next step.
poor hubby took such a long 7 weeks leave, now left barely enuf for confinement!
but good thing is he's been accompanying me for exercise n we can spend time together as a couple before baby arrives.
I've been getting some back pain recently, especially when I bend down to change diapers or carry my baby from the cot.. The area of ache is the place where they jab the epidural.. But i only felt it recently after I did the jamu massage as I lay on the floor to do it cuz of the oil..i felt the ache especially when I try to get up after the massage.. so not sure if its the epi side effect, birth related or due to lying on the floor..
You know, I went to ask the Ped today, she says its ok and normal for a 3 week baby to take in milk of like 150ml.. I dont know how I can produce so much milk if she really take that amount every feed.. But i wont give up trying!! i want to be my baby mobile vending machine.. lol
and once baby reached one month old, their body can work against jaundice. so takes abit more time...

dont worry too much. you can always read forums (hehe) and call the professionals for help and advice.
for me, i suffered backache from the start of my pregnancy till after birth. i realised i dont have it anymore and not sure when it vanished come to think about it. haha. i think it s normal? i guess you can always maintain good posture when you bf. i m using my brest friend (nursing pillow) thus kinda help to maintain a good posture when i bf. maybe you can try. other than that i refrain from carrying heavy load for the first 2 weeks after birth.
