Hi Lyra, my boy seems to really enjoy flipping... Does it all the time, unless I carry him.
I didnt practice any flipping on my baby. My niece also did not practice anything, and she flipped/crawled/sit at her own time. So I dont't think his later milestones will be affected.
I dont't think it will affect any development. Babies will have their own pace to reach any milestones.
Btw, any mummies start on semi solid already? My pediatrician said I can intro spoonful of cereals to my baby already.
After 4 mths is good to start. I knw some insist 6 months to prevent any allergy reaction.
i attempt the sweet potato puree & country apple puree for my son... he doesn't likes e fruits coz its sour..he is quite ok with the sweet potato
Oh, my pediatrician also ask me try coz my boy only gained 300 in 1 month.
He is 6.4kg at 4 months 10 days.
I told my mum and she very excited coz she wanted to give cereal long time!
So ladies, you feed your baby with spoon right? Coz my mum said last time she added to milk bottle and we drank frm it.
I find it werid. Scare my baby will choke. Also I think he needs to learn to fed by spoon
i love capturing all e moment of my son..so i just did a 4 month shoot for my son
Yingzy , your son is very cute! Am thinking of doing a shoot too, but prob when my son is older...
I have not't started anything yet, the pediatrician told me to wait till six months old...
my son only like to flip over but he doesnt sleep on his tummy... dont know why. i start to try cereal mixed in his milk and let him drink but he dont like it.. now he kept LS, since last Sun. The nurse at the infant care said my son could be teething thats why LS and will stop LS once his teeth come out... poor thing, his butt is having nappy rash again ...
Poor thing. My boy also...dont know why the hell all NTUC sold out Huggins ultra M size!!!!!
end up I buy Huggins dry comfort n now got red dots around
Did you notice any white on his gums?
my bestie's girl start to have all the teething symptoms frm 4 months on but the erupt came at 8 months 2 first then the other 2 come soon after.
what nappy rash cream are your using? I heard Desitin is e strongest type for nappy rash.. can give it a try...
anyway i buy my son's diaper from this website: Luvbabies by Kim Sang
it is a few dollars cheaper then outside and my son has no problem wearing the diaper/drinking the milk from there... and when you buy more than 200 dey provide free delivery! that is what i like about...no need to go out and carry so much stuffs out...
hi mummies, i have not bought any insurance yet for my boy. can share which are the ones you bought for your baby and how much to pay per year or monthly ? please recommend as i dont really like to ask the insurance agents as they will keep on intro all the policy out there which is really frustrating.
his butt was beautifully pink till he LS so many time a day then got the nappy rash want... so mine is neither diaper or cream fault ... i saw small bump in his lower jaw . how much yr child drinking now? the school is feeding 180ml! at home i still latch on so not sure how much he drink. Thanks for link Yingzy!
Hotmilktea, I read before that breastfed babies grow at more unequal rate. Sometimes shoot up and become very heavy, sometimes will slow down growth rate. Is your baby still on breast milk? Maybe he will grow more in subsequent months. My friend's baby girls are born in late Oct and they are about 5.6kg only. So 6.4 at 4 months should be ok right? Actually I think the percentile used is a bit over exaggerated because they measure breastfed and formula fed babies together, and formula fed babies are usually heavier. My husband's friend's son is formula fed and he is already 7.5kg at 2 months old!
I will only introduce semi solid at 6 months because babies' gut are immature before that and they may easily get indigestion, diarrhea, allergy and other problems if they are fed semi solid at too young a age. Babies enjoy full protection from antibodies of breast milk when they are total breastfed, so once they start on solid food, they lose the full protection. That is also one reason why I will delay solids. I myself am very very eager to feed solids! I have already bought the bowl, sippy cups, spoons, etc but I tell myself to wait... wait... just a little while longer! Haha...
Here's an article which made me decide to start solids later. kellymom.com :: Why Delay Solids? I love reading Kelly mom.
Mummies, do you see a pediatrician regularly for baby's check up? Coz you were talking about your pediatrician advising etc etc... I have not't brought my baby to a pediatrician since his jaundice is cleared. I usually bring him to polyclinic for injection.
I bring my baby to polyclinic for injections too.
