Charlottetan - I only bought some maternity pants & jeans. cos can change the size around the waist n make it bigger as you grow. drawstring pants also cheap n comfy. tops i just buy normal but big ones or like baby doll or stretchy ones. see the cutting ...skirts with stretch waist bands also not too bad. simplest for me is leggings and long tees or shirts or some loose dresses.
Where you stay? I know one shop at tampines near T1 there got sell cheap top and also pant with waist adjustable..
yoga pants quite comfy. im still wearing my pri and sec school P.E tee and shorts at home
Yah yoga pants.... I bought a few of those. $10 each only. Long ones n 3/4 ones.
Wah you can fit in your school shorts? I wear my husbands old big tees. Long enough to cover my bum so no need shorts. Lol...
I live at Sengkang, i went to cotton on ytd. they sell those dresses which pregnant lady can fit.=) cheap less than 30 dollars!=))))
can try joining the sprees for gap, old navy, etc. they got affordable maternity wear. or try gmarket as well. i'm still trying to look for denser/ thicker leggings, those that you wear to your feet kind (but dont't cover your toes). anyone can suggest where to get such leggings?
Cotton On has just the leggings you're looking for! I just bought 2 more, cos its 2 for $20. They have 2 lengths, ankle / calve. I wear it under belly, no red line either.
The Cotton On stretchy tank tops and spaghetti tops and if available, very-neck shirts are also very good during pregnancy. They are long enough to cover tummy and stretchy enough to accomodate a growing belly. When I was pregnant with my girl, I wore the same XS one from before pregnancy all the way until after giving birth, and still wore them postpartum after the weight dropped off cos the material can just shrink or stretch with your body. cheap and good! =P Now 2nd pregnancy still wearing! Also bought several more tank tops in different colours just this week.
I dare not buy so many maternity clothes also.. i've been alternating between 2 yoga pants and one gypsy skirt with assortment of T-shirts.. and 2 maternity-like tops that i already have before pregnancy..
I can't wear short dresses like others due to my hairy legs ~_~" and i can't use wax (tried, and had a very bad reaction to the gel used), can't shave (nickle allegies), can't use those cream that kills the hair follice and then you just wash it off ( also had a bad reaction, had blister-like rashes ~_~). Also spent $2k for those hair removal treatment ;_; also no use.. not that it grew back fast, but maybe due to me being a diabetic? the "burns" took longer to heal than others
So in the end, my hubby said, dont't need to shave, shave for what.. not as if pple want to see ;_; .. and in my mind, i ish so afraid that i'll be so repulsive to him .. Lao Gong ish da Best
Ladies, may I know who will be going to do the confinment for you gals? I've called one of the aunty who recommend by my friend who is good according to her but she is been taken up during Sep already.. then she wanna to intro one of her friend to me.. I dont know whether is she good or not..
My mother in law said she can help me to cook if I dont mind coz she is staying near me, but then somehow, I also feel paiseh to let her come to my place daily just to cook only. then who gonna bath for my baby and wash our clothes ? Our clothes (baby and mine) cannot put into washing machine to wash. I just scare that me alone also cant really take care of baby, as you know, doing confinment is super tiring.. headache sia..
