my nxt appt is on 2nd jul. shall check on the weight. will be almost 31wks by then. so we'll have to see the doc every from 35wks onwards?
Im doing it tomorrow morning. Not looking forward to it all.... Yucky water to drink!
Gals, how bout buying the pumps online? Heard it's cheaper to have them shipped over directly fr US .. Anyone knows of such websites? I ever chanced upon other months' forums doing that. I planning to get medela dual electric pump freestyle, heard this best suits working moms and also very strong in expressing... Also, what do you all think of Tommy sterilizer? Thot of getting the package set.. Lol
CHocobaby - yeah, hope both our kids turn around soon! Its very uncomfortable to sleep on the side at night now, cos the feet keep jabbing me in the sides...
Qian1984 - I have that medela freestyle pump, can highly recommend! It has a very long battery life, very light and portable, so good if you're pumping outside of home or when you return to work. But going by what your doc says, my baby is really underweight ... only 950g back then at 27-28 weeks! But then my first girl was also behind in weight all the way, think this one following her sister.
Carisella - haha yah the drink for the glucose test is sooooooooooooo sweet. Made me gag, especially cos I dont't have a sweet tooth. I did the test at 24 weeks..
:: Welcome to PrettyMums.Com :: - PrettyMums.Com do note that if you buy from US, the warranty is only for US and if your set is faulty, you will need to send the set back to US for exchange and the shipping can cost about SGD$200+ i think.
btw, what brand of baby detergent do you use to wash all your baby clothes? now considering pureen or kodomo but not sure which is more recommended. anyone can advise?
anyone plan to take raspberry tea from wk 33 onwards? read that it is highly recommended and helps to strengthen womb muscles for easier labour.

I went to see the gyne before my actual appointment I found a pimple below.
We got scared so made the appointment last sat.
When I weight at home, I was like 1.2kg lighter yet in the gyne weighing scale I am 1.2kg heavier.
I was so upset. Sigh.
Now in my 28 week my doc says my baby is big, she was ok range all the while and sudden rapid growth!
I tried to avoid fried foods and sweet drinks yet gyne says she is 1.5kg! I was way shocked!
Either she have the big size from me or my dad side…. Sigh.. but I guess she is growing well I am ok.
I hope I dont’t need to go C-sect but might if she continues grow rapidly.
dont’t feel like seeing the gyne in 3 weeks time.. hahaha
I went shopping to buy some baby clothings to comfort myself. Lol…..
And by your below, i know where you mean also .. was so pai seh to open my leg so big leg my hubby see :3
my gyne is male also pai sei but we just want to ease our minds... so he says just normal pimple..
going to ripe also and let it burst by itself as i didnt have it around there before...
yeah i am going to be in 3rd trim this week!
cant wait for baby to be out soon.......
do you all suddenly have the.. "omg, i'm going to give birth soon" fears? lolz.. i suddenly got the scared to give birth feeling.. dont know why.. and nope.. no one said anything to me about those pregnancy fears and stuff, neither did i read any books or saw any videos on it.. haha.. just suddenly one.. lol..
Regarding the baby detergent, I wanted to buy for my elder girl, but my hubby is a scientist and he says all detergents work the same way, the main thing is just to ensure that the soap residue is rinsed off cleanly. So we have been using our normal detergent for my elder girl since she's a newborn. Cos we asked the midwife conducting the antenatal classes whether its necessary to get those baby detergents for clothes and bottles, she also said its redundent. Just a marketing ploy, there's no real difference between the normal and baby ones.
In fact, in Europe they do not sell clothing or bottle detergent for babies, everyone just uses whatever they have been using at home. Only difference is to separate the baby's clothes from adults and wash different loads... And here they just throw the babies bottles, teats, and even pumping stuff into the dishwasher together with the other dirty pots and dishes. =P
i wonder is it earlier or later for first born?
some say later, some say earlier...
its my last 2 months in office.. doubt my contract will be renewed..
even there is alot of work i have no mood with all the aches and pains...
i made my hubby to say good bye to baby in the morning and tell her good night before he sleep :P hehehehe
then sometimes he talks to the tummy she kicks n kick non stop... dont know why so excitied.. lol
detergent really all the same?? i thought they say new born skin is more sensitive?
i got the pureen one i cant remember from kiddy palace to wash all the new clothing in august or sept like that
Monday to Fri since me and hubby go work together, he'll sayang tummy in the morning and and ask me if she got kick or not..
At night is will talk to her then say good night and remind her not to kick mummy so hard else mummy will pain pain..
Hubby bought the kodomo detergent to wash baby clothes.. my dad also say have to buy.. waste money imo.. but they say need.. then buy ..
