Carisella - yr hubby so funny .. Ka pager? omg..
I think I did have braxton hicks too... esp recently, my stomach dont know why painful and I cant tell what pain it is. No matter what position I try to lie down no works.. Do you all feel that? I am so scare , my coll still asking me will i go labour soon or not?
Currently I still got alot of bird nest , can I take both bird nest and rasberry tea together? As in not the same day .. And where can I buy rasberry tea arr?
i dont know shld i contact my gayne about my pain or not? or shld I wait till next week appt ?
I take bird nest 2 times a week. usually is before I go to bed..
Actually for the detergent I didn't trust my hubby's thinking either... cos at first I thought what do guys know. Also believed that newborns have sensitive skin. But then I got to talk to some of his female scientist colleagues, those who just had babies and all of them dont't buy the baby detergent for washing clothes or the special ones for bottles. They also said if you check the ingredients its all similar... I dont't know , cos I'm from arts background. Anyway these ppl deal with chemicals on a daily basis so they prob know what they're talking.
As for the midwife who said its not necessary to buy baby detergent, she also said that if your baby has truly sensitive skin (not common), then just reduce the amount of detergent in the wash... because the key emphasis is to ensure that all the soap suds are rinsed off. BEcause usually it is the residual soap or fragrance that causes skin irritations, especially the nice-smelling ones.
but if it gives you peace of mind to buy baby detergent just buy ... =)

carisella, your husband is so humourous! ka pager! now no more pager ! must ka handphone! lol...
i think for the first few months whereby baby's skin is very sensitive, better to use baby detergent. but maybe after 6 months, swtich to use normal detergent.
shannyang, if the pain persist, best to call gynae and check. birdnest, yum yum. i only take that once a week.
Raspberry tea?! I didnt know it helps... That's good news! Can just buy normal ones at supermarket or specific ones? I really dont want baby to be 'overdue' again. Lol. My 1st was 1 week plus late. But he was an easy pregnancy. This one different ley... So i want him out on time! Lol.
I used baby detergent too for my first but only for 1st wash of all new clothes. Then after that i just used normal detergent. I think was mentioned by someone, main thing is must really really rinse properly.
9 more weeks to work.... So sad....
Oh n has anyone had cockles? Im dying for cockles , dip in sambal blacan... Ooooh !! If cooked properly can what right?
some of my friends say that they use normal detergent, their babies get very sensitive skin... so i just try 1 bottle first and for the first few months at least...
my baby starts to kick her daddy too! yeah!!! used to be only kick me but now also kick him hehehehehehehehhehehehehehehehehe
i wonder whether my baby will come out on the EDD date....
its officially Week 28th!!!
if cant tahan the pain, please go see gyne... even that pimple hurts me so much i also thick skin when to see the gyne for ease of mind too...
Ive had sushi, still do like once a week. But the raw ones i take few slices only. Just that cockles even if not pregnant, you hear people get food poisoning , lao sai ... Mostly from cockles. So a bit wary there. But really really want some nowwwww!!
Ps. Anyone thinkin of buying Quinny Zap Xtra? I have a Facebook friend selling from wholeseller (wholeseller?? Is there such a word??) Mothercare selling at 700+, but this site selling 550. I think it's a very good deal!

better avoid cockles coz it is considered 'poisonuous' by traditional chinese medicine. my hubby's aunt gave birth a few years ago. her baby came out with alot of red patches on his face and body even til now n he is already 4 yrs old. his aunt said most probably coz she ate too much seafood during pregnancy that cause her son to have this skin problem. just lun for a few more weeks and then you can eat cockles already. hang in there!
me too! i once in a blue moon will eat sushi and limit to less than 4 pieces of sashimi. super can't resist the temptation. horrible me right!
my cousin told me to walk alot alot esp in last tri. she did that for her 2 pregnancies and both times, her labour was less than 3 hours and without epidural. now i try to stroll for an hr after dinner. hopefully it will helps. I hope by wk 38, my baby will come out. dont wait til wk 40.
btw, this coming weekend, there is a baby fair at expo! can check it out if you still have many items to buy!
i am going for combi well carry
like the design since i first saw it at kiddy palace
Haha what I remember from madam wong class is to let loose for the 3rd trim…
She was asking the hubby to make the wife go shopping! Lol…
It does help in labour.. but dont’t over do it and get pre-matured baby…
She told us one lady over did it and her baby was pre-matured..
She went to many different classes n stuff… it was funny the way she tells it
Cant wait for weekend! I want to see the baby expo fair.. hope to get cheaper combi stroller there..

hi all, just checking out... will you all be going for the hospital tour? or all confirm the hosiptal already?
Charlottetan - i was thinking of Maclaren too, much lighter. But hubby say doesnt match him. So i think if go out without hubby i use a sling. Easier for me.
Dolphyant - omg! Red patches?! Ok nevermind, forget it. Yah i wait few more months... When to start drinking the tea? Now too early isit?
to be on the safe side, i intend to start drinking the tea from wk 33 onwards. coz also must give the tea some time to strengthen the womb muscles to help with labour i guess. i most probably will get from this blogshop. anyone keen to share the big pack? Baby Dust Shop: Organic Red Raspberry Leaf some of my friends bought from this seller before and said the tea is good. they also said best to buy the tea leaves itself rather than those pre-packed in satchets as those in satchets, may have additional processing so not so good. i bought OPKs and some supplements from this shop previously, but never tried the raspberry tea. so i decided to give it a try.
prams wise, i already got mine, from baby kingdom. bought capella brand. was tempted by combi as it is lightweight but the pram looks quite small and dont know can last til baby is 3 yrs old? so decided to get capella instead. slightly heavier but more spacious. plus the handle is reversible which allows me to shift to baby facing me in the initial months and subsequent months, can change to let baby face the other direction. read somewhere that for first few months, it is better to let baby face you while you push the pram so that baby feels more reassured.
