just came back from gynae visit. Currently at week 39. Baby weight at 3.4kg. Dilated 1cm.
haha im due on 21st sept!
but delivering in mount A on cs with GA!
ya.. anytime now. So excited and scare now. But also have to monitor baby movement now and than.
i am not wearing the maternity pads. So long no wear pad , still dont like the thick thick feeling. anyway if water bag burst, also won't be alot, maybe just leaking.
Actually you can use the baby changing mat to put on your bed too just in case it leak too. Just that it won't absorb the water only.
ystday I started to put in the 1pkt (7 pcs) disposable underwear, babies clothes, receiving blankets,1 pkt pads (5pcs), robe, into my hospital bag.
Actually i did not buy the maternity pads, i find that they are actually not very long. so i went to buy the new sofy comfort 40.5cm long pad to use. See whether good or not. now watson got 15% on all sofy pads.
I think you just put the whole pack of pads inside and as for nursing pads, i will be taking like 3 pairs? Cos milk supply won't be coming in so fast too.
you r 37 weeks, good good .. than faster go finish your shopping or packing of your room soon. or else, you will be too tired to do already. walk abit only, you reach home can be like a dead log already. haaahaa.. that's what happen to me.

Anyone experienced diarrhea?? Is it a sign that baby coming out soon?? How about increase of discharge??
So 1cm dilation is no biggie? Did she give you a guesstimate on when you'll be due?
pigletif, ^5! I am not getting maternity pads also..I bought overnight pads for heavy flow, 34 & 35cm ones from laurier. I was tempted to buy Sofy 40.5cm, but its not for uber heavy flow..so...heard maternity pads are softer though, better if you have stitches, drawback..shorter & no wings..Do we have to pack baby clothes/receiving blanket though? I thought hospital is providing? Oh ya..dont't forget to pack your admission letter + receipts for medisave claim! Btw, I remembered from the doc's talk that there's 2 types of waterbag breaking. It can either be a huge gush of fluid flushing down or just slow tickling...so really depends..but I really dont't know. ;p
Jerlene, I am in the same agony as you. I have diarrhea everyday. Gooey stools & experiencing more, thinner discharge. Doc say it's normal though. Hormone changes he say. *shrug* I'm also getting pelvis cramps. Doc say its the baby head pushing that's why.
I realise you girls usually go for checks during the week. You get time off or already started your maternity leave. My checkups are always on Sats cuz still working. Hopefully I won't go into labour at work..
Now that preggy journey is ending, I feel kinda regret that I did not keep a blog on how the journey went. I am going to miss those uncomfortable karake kicks to my ribs, or how he goes hyper when/after I eat esp sweet stuff, those daily little hiccups and worrying about his health & wondering how he'll look like..
Meanwhile..I think I better go hunt for young coconuts, heard supposed to drink that once a week from 37 weeks for clean delivery? Think too late for bird's nest now? *shrug*
cyanidebaby> ya, also heard that maternity pads are softer. But is shorter . dont wish to stain the hospital bed or my own bed too... shall see how things goes and buy at a later stage.
as for the baby clothes, you need to bring 1 set for baby to go home .. or else baby going home naked? hee...
ya ya .. and the admission letter and receipts.
i may only start a blog on my baby when he's born. That's what my mummy told me to do. heee..
when do you intend to start your maternity? i think you should start at 38 weeks. Or else you will feel very heavy and sleepy at work. I think becos i am a stay home mum, that's why baby is feeling comfy inside. I lack of walking also ..
i drink those can coconut drink. heard that it can help to smooth the delivery. but i where got so free to go buy everyday? hee.. but rem to take lots of water. I tend to be very thirsty this 2 weeks.
For the trickling or a gush when the water bag break, it will depend on how engaged the baby is (how low the baby has moved)
sigh .. dont knw baby coming out or not ... and how long i am staying inside...
my edd 8/9/09
sexyflor already passed her edd, so her gynae give her until next week. if not yet deliver, she have to induced ..
i still at home .. having my breakfast first.. so scare.. hopefully will go smoothly ..
shall update you all again whenever i can.
Pigletif, wish you all the best. Jia you!!
delivered my baby on 2 Sept, Wed at Kandang Kerbau Hospital...
Was a very fast one this time so fast that my husband did not't able to feel such..
My water bag burst at 430am but I waited till 5am and the contraction came every 5 mins...
I asked my husband to get prepare and I went to shower...
We reach Kandang Kerbau Hospital delivery suite at 6am and then at 648am, baby came out.....
That was a fast labour... Maybe bcos is the 3rd one...
But I glad is a fast as only using the gas....
I also delivered on 2/9/2009 at Kandang Kerbau Hospital!
i was one month early, so it came as a shock for me. waterbag burst with no pain and didnt know waterbag burst at all on 1/9.
was induced at 10pm, took about 8 hours to fully dilate and delivered at 9+am on 2/9.
i had NO threshold of pain at all and used all the methods of pain control. thigh injection at first, gas and finaly epidural. but was glad i made use of all these, else i think there will be no 2nd baby for me.
now having trouble with breastfeeding, very demoralising now
not a lot at once, bit by bit.
each time is like heavy menses discharge. can feel it one. has very slight amt of blood at first but after a few more times it becomes totally clear. and i must stress that i totally had NO pain at that time.
yes, will call them up if tomorrow situation doesnt improve...=(
