I'm a first tym mommy as well.. however i am a subsidised NUH patient after being referred frm the polyclinic. Normally for subsidised patient like us, we do not have a specific gynae. It depends on the availablity of the gynae (consultant) on that day.
However, I've decided to upgrade and appoint a gynae before my next 2 visits upon EDD and therefore pay the rate of inpatient delivery.
I got to listen to my baby's heartbeat during my 19th week and went for scan during the 22nd week to determine the baby's gender. So far, the consultants and nurses at NUH have been very nice, helpful and soft spoken. I choose NUH bcos it's nearer to home as during the first 3 mths of pregnancy, I had terrible morning sickness.
If I wasn't mistaken, you can call Kandang Kerbau Hospital nurses at 1900 5568773 if you have questions about your pregnancy.
Hope this helps.
