The best is breast milk...
This is a discussion on Milk Suggestion for Newborn within the Year 2011 and earlier Mummy forum, part of the Mummy Meeting Place category; Hi, what's the best milk formula for NewBorn baby?...
what's the best milk formula for NewBorn baby?
The best is breast milk...
For formula, i think Friso not bad in the sense that most babies are ok with it.
some formulas like Similac, the babies get heaty and won't poo for a few days.
My daughter has been on Friso siince 1 month and she's ok on it.
Yea, i know Breast Milk is the best.
i meaning formula
i thought of Friso too!
i think i will try that!
So do you guys take in any milk for yrself now?
i just drink as usual.. my fav is always Muji Low Fat Fresh Milk
hey miss xlan... your edd is national day as well???
Belbelove, you have not't given birth and you are thinking of giving formula milk already? Why not give breast milk instead? It is the best milk that a mother can give to her baby!
haha! got to be prepare first !!
have to do some research first
Erm...if you research so early, chances of you feeding formula milk will be alot higher. just my opinion though, no offence.
belbelove, me too, doing a little research on what milk powder to give after my breastmilk.. hopefully that will be at least 1yr later.. hee!
from my 2 brothers' experiences (each has a son).. they tried a lot of ang mo brands but all caused lots of wind or indigestion or constipation to their son.. n finally until they tried Japanese Milk.. all problems solved.. less wind sometimes even no burp.. babies sleep better.. stools better..
if i rem correctly.. the Jap milk powder they been using were Bean Stalk..
RE-ON :: Bean Stalk
but i have yet to see this selling in SG..
another Jap brand i heard is good.. would be the Morinaga Milk.. heard is as close to breastmilk
RE-ON :: Morinaga
i'm thinking to search for these either from online or from Isetan or Meidiya those places..
If you can, pls give breastmilk. For me i standby friso but until now she has no taken it
Btw, i am taking anmum milk.. I have been drinking their antenatal milk until now the milk powder for breastfeeding mum. So far so good and they taste the best out of the other few brands I tried
yes, if i can i will give breast milk too! but got to give a mixture of formula too! cos if im not around, at least baby still used to it
Of course is breast milk... but if you r not breastfeeding... you dont buy any FM yet... see what the hospital give to your baby.. then you see the brand.. if it is ok.. then you just go down to the shop that sell milk powder at hospital there before you discharge... but my son is now drinking friso... i think alot of people have tried friso.. so far so good...
Breast milk is the best..
But I let Isaac drink Mamex when my breast milk is not enough. (When I am still in confinement period)
At home still have 1 tin Mamex stage 1 (unopen), 4 tin Mamil Gold stage 2 (unopen).
Eventually plan stop breastfeed when Isaac 6 months, but but but..
I still have mah, why want to stop . (Even my hubby ask me to let Isaac try formula milk)
my baby takes Enfalac A+.. he is gaining weight steadily and doctor said very healthy
I'm not able to breast feed my twin babies due to some personal reasons so much that I want to.
Any suggestion on formula milk for my newborn twin baby boys coming due on 19 July 2010?
I bf my daughter for 13months but had to stop coz low supply due to 2nd pregnancy. Now she's on Bellamy Organic toddler milk. I guess if I have to standby milk formula for my newborn it'll be Bellamy Organic as well. I prefer not to have all the unnecessary add-ons other formulas have.
sorry to interupt:
similac 1 (900g) $38/tin
Isomil 1 and 2 (400g) $12.50/tin
Enfalac a+ (900g) $38/tin
