i have 3 strollers - one combi and 2 maclarens. i love all of them for different reasons and still use all 3 with my 2 kids. i have a techno XT which i use with my son for longer day trips. At 2.5years old and 90th percentile for height, he can still nap in there very comfortably for up to 2hours. then i have the simple no frills daytripper (or volo which is the newer version) which is great for daily walks to and fro home and grandparents' place and has seen us through about 5 holidays and (horror stories) of airport crew throwing strollers carelessly. the combi was underutilised by my son who was 10kg by 5 months and looked oversized in it but it's perfect for his lil sister who is more regularly sized and i like how comfortable she looks napping in there. it cradles her very well even at 10 months. she looked precariously placed - way too small for the space - in the techno XT and the straps somehow seemed too loose on her (maybe cos they have been adjusted to fit the brother). but techno XT is designed for use from birth.
best part, these strollers dont't cost a bomb! techno XT is the most expensive at about $568 i think. it's still a lot cheaper than some others - AND it's not that heavy at 7+kg. Quinny and other higher end ones cost a lot and are quite heavy and bulky for me. the daytripper and combi are about 4.5-5kg.
