Wondering if you do save your baby's cord blood in a blood bank.
I saved my first child with Stemcord, as I was seeing gynae in ACJ clinic located in Thomson Medical Center, there was a special discount for the registration fee. Now, having my second, will be saving it too. For precaution.
Do you save your child's cord blood?
*MTBs who is interested to sign up for stemcord, referrer get $100 off and referee got $50 off. so in future when you become referrer, you will get $100 off, if you sign up with Stemcord. Can PM me for referral if you decide to sign up with Stemcord*

i donate it...
I am now considering b/w cordlife and stemcord.. I think stemcord is the 1 which is store in 2 different place right??
stemcord stored in gleneagles where cordlife store in camden.
i chose stemcord cos 1st is local and 2nd, cordlife CFO not able to answer this qns during the seminar they held 2 yrs ago.
qns: how well in your financial status.
and the CFO just go blank... hmmm.....
for stemcord, ans: they will transfer all cord blood to another local hospital with our consent first, or by then you dont want to keep it, they will ask if you want to donate, if you dont want, they will dispose it.
i didnt think the need to save baby cord blood... cuz i was thinking that since my hubby and i nor our parents have any past history of any major illness...i didnt see the need to save the cord blood.
Wonder if im wrong?
well, keeping blood cord is to for precaution.
as child sickness often occur with the first 5 years. Cord blood will be their 2nd life if they are down with any sever children sickness, apart from family history.
Cord blood will be able to save family members too. the % goes by:
I donated it too.. initially i wanted to safe it too but its kind of ex . then my sis suggested safe for the 2nd child cos siblings also can and baby bonus more for 2nd child then can use that to pay.hehe
haha, ya. if you got referral, the 2nd year for stemcord thay charge you 200 instead of 250. if you refer others, they charge you 150 instead of 250 in the following year. . .
how much does it cost?
stemcord: reg. fee is $1000(but my clinic only charge $800+) +7%, every year is $250 + 7%. no contract. keep as long as you want, pay annually by giro.
if i refer you, your second year wil pay only 200, if you refer ppl, the following year you will pay $150 after your friend sign up...
reg fee quite ex, its a one time payment, but me dont want to risk any health issues so just signed up. . . .
the cord blood can keep like how many years?
you can keep as long as you want. . . 10 years, 20 years . . . . cos no contract...
cordlife got contract, 21 years. but personally me dont like them, so chose stemcord, which they will store cord blood in gleneagles. . . .
ooo..but it's quite exp..
if gt sales staff approach us, then will consider about it...
no sales stadd approach one ley. .. sometimes, its when you deliver and nurse ask if you want to donate anot....
ya, quite ex loh...
i save my boy's cord blood in stemcord also. decided in the labor suite. hahaha...
was thinking it's better to b safe than sorry. nowadays so many funny diseases evolving. better protect our precious since they r still so young.
i wanted to but just slipped my mind while in the delivery suite enduring the pain, and also no1 approached me ??? (Kandang Kerbau Hospital)
that was very totful of them. But during that time most of my other gfs arent aware of cord blood saving even so did not enforce my mind to do it. Got regret but not planning for 2nd at the moment so no choice...
