For my Seamus, my wife only breastfed direct in the initial months ... so how much he drank really depended on how hard he worked. It was at the end of her maternity leave that she started to express ... & bottle-fed whenever she had to travel due to her work.
For my Siggi, my wife decided to experiment ... by expressing & bottle-feeding even during the first few weeks, after he has learnt to latch on properly. In comparison, my wife is a more productive "milk factory" now.
Of course, diet also matters ... although we didn't engage any CL in both instances (& neither my mum nor my mother in law was staying with us), I always make sure the maid cooks these 3 dishes once a week, even now:
1) green papaya soup with pork cartilages (this will increase not only the breastmilk, but the calcium content as well)
2) pork trotters soup with peanuts (which I think I love more than she does)
3) steamed cod fish with wolfberries
Other than these natural sources, she's also taking Fenugreek.
When she was breast-feeding Seamus, my sis bought her this nursing tea from MomsInMind ... which I must say was quite good.
Now that she's breast-feeding Siggi, she's been drinking this organic nursing tea from Traditional Medicinals.
Just my 2 cents' worth for your reference ...
lawla dear: it's autumn who wants a holi... pat pat hang in there for 2 weeks. Look forward to your US trip okay? *Sayang Sayang

Also the reason why mother in law's birthday was not done at Shnagri- tonite ... becoz their promotion will only honour actual day: % discount is the same as your age for any meal at any of their restaurants for up to eight guests.
In case you are wondering, my mother in law shares the same birthday (1 Apr) as my Seamus ... my mother in law is 57 this year, so we're talking about a 57% discount.

There was a write-up in the Sunday Times ... the birthday boy was 80plus (if I dont remember wrongly), so their $400 plus dinner became $100plus.
Unfortunately, we cannot go tonite ... becoz both my wife & I attending a seminar.

Actually, now that I am retired, life also quite sianz (that's why you guys see me loitering around here anyways) ... playing golf or mahjong also must need partners/kakis & not many of them can just do it every single day. Still on the lookout to go into some money-generating venture.
Fenugreek you can get from GNC ... but my wife buys them online from US & it can be as much as 40% cheaper. Let me get the website address & get back to you.Originally Posted by JacquiLau
As for the nursing tea, the MomsInMind one can be purchased from their website ... the one she is using now, I have to ask her where she gets them.
Since you seem quite open to trying, maybe I can get a few teabags from her to let you try before you go ahead & spend the money.
Oh yes, I also still owe you the answers from Mothercare.
