Well, I am new to this forum & try to contribute as much as I can, also because I have spare time and this is my way of keeping sane since I am a stay at home mum. However, I have to admit that I have no idea of the culture of this forum. I try to participate in a manner that I deem is appropriate.
I've been part of the "old bird" community of several forums, and it's inevitable when people come and go. One day you realize, hey where's all the old people I once knew? Why this forum change so much? But like I said, it's inevitable.
I believe whatever you contribute to forum is based on what you are willing to contribute. Some people will appreciate the lengths you go to help them, some people will just selfishly take and won't give a hoot, nor contribute. Sometimes I offer some mummies here extra help through PMs, but all this is on my own will. If they dont't appreciate it, then I will just stop offering my help. But for those who are grateful, I will be more than glad to help if I can.
I do spend a lot of my time on this forums, but I dont't think I am wasting time here. After all, I spend time here to read through the threads to kill time and to contribute where ever I can. But of course, if something that is worth me committing more time to, like playing with my daughter, teaching her, working, studying, etc, I definitely won't be spending so much time here.
We can't really stop these people from cooking stories, nor is it worth our time to fret over them, especially when we dont't even know these people well. Whatever comes will go...
Life still goes on for me and my family. These are more important.
