wow i just learnt something interesting, didnt know mummies drink coconut drinks for this purpose. I wonder how the drink helps to wash off the blood though....
Ya just to play safe! My mum taken grass jelly when she was having my 3rd sister during her 3rd trimester. My sister was having start to have bronchitis on her 1st month. It last till when she was almost 9th month old then she recovered.
* Grass jelly is made from a kind of herb leaves boiled with potassium carbonate (*it's a white salt which is akaline, it's used in the making of soap & glass), plus a little starch, after cooling down turn it to jelly.
If mummies who have asthma before preggie.. it's not advisable to take grass jelly just in case baby take over the same.. it will be worst for baby after delivery.
That's why I never dare to take grass jelly at all.. Pineapple still not so bad..if it's taken like Pineapple Rice... not those uncooked pineapple fruit.. which is abit too blunt for the tummy.
your friend is just lucky... if not some of them got miscarriage just by taking in during 1st trimester.
Yup for grass jelly my mum also dont allow me to eat. All other food she never stop me onli grass jelly.
Coconut drink those fresh ones. Can buy from ntuc. Never state young or old. I just drink like that.
have you all decided what brand of diapers to use for your newborn? i won't be going for cloth ones like bumwear etc, because i doubt i'll have the time to wash and wash and wash. i need opinions from second time mummies who have tried using a range of diapers and can provide some opinions. i'm currently considering pureen for day-use (cos its so cheap!) and huggies or mammypoko for night use. any thoughts, mummies?
cloth ones definitely a no.... i wont be having much help during confinement and after!
As for diapers I really feel it's up to the baby's skin. When i had my son, the hospital gave a bag of Pampers brand and my son had bad rashes. But when i switched to the cheaper brand like drypers, he was ok till he stopped using diapers.
I m using mammypoko for night time. Day time I will be using cloth diaper.
Pureen diapers are cheap.. But the absorbent is not very good which I heard friends who r used it before.
I believe also wherther your baby is comfortable which types of diapers .. It's just like us.. We prefer different brands of pads!
Wah Dilys, cloth diapers?? I saluate you... keke...
I will just get the diapers.. i'm a lazy mummy.. keke
Midnight got a false alarm.. thought that I going to give birth.. Baby was kicking very aggressively.. Continue with Tummy pain of 8-10mins once. My tail bone hurts, lower & upper back hurts so much. Leg also go soft. After continuing breathing techniques.. Lucky the pain goes off..
Huafen..,2ndtimemum, & those experiences mummies... This look like going into labour right?? What a scare...
I also plan to use the cloth diaper during day time and night time use the disposable one. Head the cloth diaper is good for baby skin. Has bought those all-in-one size cloth diapers but guess will use it when baby is more than a month old.. during the first month will use those traditional diaper as has confinement nanny to help out in the washing and in the prenatal class the instructor also indicate that the transitional diaper is better. But i think that is not waterproof, so will need to put baby on the plastic nappy changing mat all the time i guess..
Personally I dont't take agar agar or konyaku jelly during pregnancy.. As it contains gelatine.
if you really need to take it.. Maybe just have one pc not much. Not too good to take as those selling outside r very sweet & there are colouring added. Some chemical will be added to harden the jelly which is not very good during pregnancy.
