Hey congrats all new MTBs!
I went for my scan just the day before on 5th, and can hear heartbeat very clearly as doc used a vaginal scan thingy to insert in to scan instead of the usual 'stomach ultrasound' scans whereby gel is put on stomach etc..so maybe those didn't hear the heartbeat is cos of the latter? But anyway, dont't worry, will be able to see/hear further down the weeks...
I just went for my 2nd scanning today at 9wks!
Went for my 1st scan at 5wks but the doc couldnt see anything, not even the water sac...
So I went to NUH for my 1st actual gynae appt and managed to see the baby, see the heartbeat (flickering light on the screen) and hear the heartbeat too! The heartbeat is so fast (2 times faster than ours) and loud! It was such a heartwarming moment...
My baby is only 2cm now and can see the feets and hands buds starting to grow..
We saw the baby moved too! It was quite active.. Hehe.. guess it was as excited as us.....
My EDD is set on 12 Aug..
Starting from Wk8, I have been experiencing extreme fatigue... I can take 3 hours nap on weekends afternoon... after shopping for an hr, ironing for 1hr or walking for 30mins, I just wanna go home and hit the bed... I really hate this feeling....
Read that this is the time our body is busy "manufacturing" the placenta for the baby.... Plus yr hormones and metabolism have increased significantly and your blood sugar and blood pressure tend to be lower , you will feel as if you are competing in a triathlon each day.... Going to work is going to be a chore for now......
Hey I went for my 2nd scanning yesterday too! Apparently I am in my 9th weeks weeks. But my EDD has changed to 9-Aug.
My baby is 2.67cm now. Ya, now we can see head and lil hands and feets buds! =)
So amazing to see the baby moving right! The doc said the baby is "dancing"! But more like boxing to us! haha!
This time round, I managed to hear the heartbeat.. I think the doc did not on the sound vol the last time, not sure.
For my next scan, I would have to go for the OSCAR blood test (cos I'm considered "old MTB"!).. pray that all will be well.
Agree with you.. going to work is like a chore now. I'm like always shortage of sleeps.. can never have a good nite sleep.. always waking up a few times to go to the loo. By noon time, I starts to get tired at work. And my giddiness never get better =(
My temperature seems to get higher too, especially at nite.. always waking up in the middle of my sleep perspiring!
Good luck to all of us!!
the edd change?? not based on last menses date?
i went to my gyne on sat my baby is 8 weeks and 1 day old.. can hear my baby heartbeat even though only 1.6cm small
life is truly amazing
im using my oscar in my 11 weeks. cross fingers
cant sleep well too... been waking up many times to go to the loo
Ohh so you ladies are taking the OSCAR test? All the best on the result!
I think I wanna skip this test.... Cos no matter what I wont abort the baby...
I cant sleep well too but mainly because I feel so hot at night even with the aircon...
I was told not to drink so much at night so that you dont have to go the loo...
So I try not to drink after 8pm....
Its great to see so many mummies are able to see the lil' fetus now!
joining you all to be mummy in august .. EDD is august 1st .. realise quite alot of ppl with the same edd....first time mummy here ... very excited , paranoid
tested positive on my 6th week and was worried cos there was no heartbeat ... but at 8th we saw heartbeat , so happy as doc was getting ready to do a d&c if no heart beat ..
our scan at 9 weeks shows a jumping bean... the baby was propelling and fling his budding hands ... its kinda touching to see that the baby actually move ...
doing my oscar on 30th .. fingers cross ... lets all pray for this year to be wonderful and "fruitful"!!
For me, im not taking oscars...
All the best on the rest of you taking it!
Any one have backache esp after waking up?
I'm 4 weeks preggie now and lost as I've not found my gynae. Any recommendations?
Hi, any mum-to-be experiencing spotting?
My spotting lasted for a week... Stop for 5 days and now started again. I visited my gyne 2 wks back
She told me as long as its not bright red it's fine as there isn't any clot and such during the scan and baby seems good. But I'm getting a little worried now, wondering if it's okay....I'm at my 10 weeks now.
Pls advice !
Of cos .. spotting is not good during pregnancy. Did your gynae given your Dupheston? Well... rest well.. dont't carry heavy things, dont't walk too much also.
You won't be surprise that some mummies have menses like bleeding from beginning till delivery. As long as baby is fine .. shouldnt be any problem. Is the heartbeat detected already?
I experienced a little bit spotting last week, then it on and off make me worried, my gynae gv me dupheston.
But this morning I have quite heavy bleeding, it scared me a lot as my husband at reservist and I cannot find my gynae even called the emergency hotline... Luckly my colleague assist me to look for her gynae and sent me there.
It was so nervous while waiting to c gynae as got few emergency patients which need to wait for about 2 hours. Thanks god my husband managed to come over after he request his officer.
After long waiting, the gynae is quite patient and help me scan if my baby is safe... It is so happy that we can see our baby heart beat and gynae show us her head as well. But we cannot find out the cause why will bleeding...
The gynae did explain that this is called threaten miscarriage which might have the risk still. He then gv me injection to stabilize the baby and things to apply at the vaginal area for one week as we r not able to back to the hospital in 3 days time...
Any mummy experience this before?
Any mummy here feel that monthly checkup is like very long for now???
I get paranoid easily nowadays!
yah, it's a long wait, my next appt is 6 feb, can't wait for that day to come.
