What is ctg ?

I think better to let mothers take care than maids. Really our mothers is the best and will do the best for our child. If your hubby is thinking of having maids, also intrusion to privacy. Are you staying far from mothers or mother in law? If not you all bring home and take care at night yourself? Cos infant care you also must take care at night. Cos now the prob is only he dont't like your mothers to stay with you all together?
What is ctg ?
It is really frustrating for me coz I can't get my hubby to understand. I hope , he has a change of heart when baby comes along. My mum n mother in law are not in Singapore , so if they have to stay with us if they are to help with baby care. The plan is that my mum will come for the delivery and stay for a month. Then my inlaws will come n stay a month . After that it is just me and the maid . I have taken 2 months extra leave without pay. So I have six months. But after that , I dont't know, I have to go for infant care.
I have considered leaving my job, but will take a call after my mat leave is over. If by then my hubby changes his mind , I'd be the happiest person
Talking about notty notty, i think the last time me and hubby truely had it was like 2 months ago coz having sex will cause contraction of uterus and I dont wanna take the risk of having early labour So just to be safe we just have oral instead. Haha.. *shy*
For me, Im staying under the same roof with my parents in law. And i feel greatful that my mother in law volunteered to look after my baby and right now she has ady bought many baby items and also confinement stuff for me. *touching* The only problem is that she has to also take care of my sis in law's 2 daughters (P1 & P3) at the same time. Well i shall see how it goes, hopefully she'll be able to cope. Otherwise i might have to send my baby to childcare instead [definitely no maid for me, dont like stranger in my house.. ]
Yah.. what is ctg? Gynae didnt perform this on me.. Aiks, cant wait to go for my week 38 check up on Fri!
CTG stands for computer task group. Meant to monitor baby movement & stress level. A CTG is the machine that is used to monitor baby's movement.
Any mommies delivering at Thomson Medical Center? WTG a Thomson Medical Center parking coupon for 2 pkt of sterile cotton balls as token. I delivered in oct and it's good for 6 months from oct. SMs/WA 97886640. I only balance 1 pc so first come first serve. Also I have BNIB Desitin creamy & a tube used once only both going for $16.
Morning mummies! I'm feeling excited! My princess Nurin will be transferred to d normal ward nursery tdy! Her weight has hit 1.8kg n she's one step closer to going hm! Hee hee
All you mummies have a few more weeks to go ya? dont forget to share your birth stories here. Wonder which mummy will pop first. Hahaha oh n also post your babies pics too!
Have a wonderful day mummies! Keep warm n be safe! See ya!
Liza, that's great news... You are one step away from bringing her home!!!
Some mummies here like anytime already or counting down 2-4 wks...
Wondering who will be the first to pop... Lol~~
Yup what two mummies explained about what ctg does is correct. Lol
As for the movement chart, I was give this chart by clinic to count babies movement. Actually just monitor - as long as baby has moved 10 times in 12 hours is good
If no ten times, pls call your clinic or hospital and seek advise
Yah can't wait to read next birth story! Especially those who left with 2-3weeks to delivery or those who has swollen feet and hands or those whose baby has already engaged! Who will emerge first? Hahahhaa
And I have a crazy qn: why is Momopeachgal so quiet? Hahaha very excited to know if she's next coz her baby's engaged!
Mummies, I have experienced menses liked cramps last night and it was short like 1-2mins with 13-15mins interval 3 times! I was so damn scared.... Coz the pain made me tear... I do have quite high pain threshold and so I wonder why I teared last night... Maybe too long mc experience menses pain... Haha anyway, I am not in labour yet coz I just went check up yesterday and baby wasn't fully engaged at that time but any mummies experienced the menses cramp yet?
Liza, great news!!! So happy for you and princess nurin hugs!!! lovely!! Finally rock princess is gg Hm soon to rock with daddy and mummy
hello mummies! went for my 36wks scan yesterday. We only managed to see baby's side view cos she really enjoy lying on her right side which i wonder y?? and as usual she's not very cooperative but very ACTIVE! She's kicking away even during the scan but just refused to show us her full face profile. sigh~
My doctor has jokingly asked, so 'who's baby is that for not being cooperative??' and I answered 'BOTH' LOL!!! However, the doctor showed us her little feet wriggling about on my left tummy which to us is a really a timeless sight! sooooo cute and we regretted for not asking the doctor to capture it and print it out for us...cos since can't have a good pic of her face at least can take a full view of her little feet. "No prawn, fish also good" hahaaaaa
Baby has gained quite a bit of weight, she's around 2.3kg to date. (about 200g gain per wk). Looking at the progress, my gynae thinks my baby will be around 2.8kg-3kg at birth, which is within my targeted birth weight....not too big or small.
Somehow i think part of my baby's weight gain has got to do with my several rounds of durians intake! so guess i'm gg to continue to take more durians since now that the durian season is back! haaa!!
The doctor also confirmed that my baby's head is still down but not yet engaged. She's moving more downwards which is causing all the pressure and cramps i've been experiencing. My gynae will see me next week again and he'll somehow be able to decide when he'll induced labour for me. (Estimated to be around week 38/39) which means i have less than 3wks before delivery! and goodness...i'm still sooooo not ready!!!
My gynae will refer us a pediatrician after our baby is born and his name is Dr YY Yip. Any mummies heard of him before? But we can change to another pediatrician should we found him not suitable or what.
We have done the hospital room booking after my scan yesterday so we can go up straight to the labour ward on the day of admission.
your gal so playful... Dont wanna show you all her full view... Heehee
Great to hear that she has gained a good weight... Yes durian helps to make baby grow faster heehee
Which part are you not ready? Preparations for baby's needs or emotionally? Hahha
if it's emotionally, then relax relax you know you r ready when the time comes. coz there won't b turning back or anything... you just have to b ready, breathe in and out or anyhow scream, anyhow breathe and push hahaha
As for the tearing and all these, the doc will take care of this responsibility and you dont't have to care or think about it! Lol
(PS: I am trying to psycho myself this logic.. Lol)
Mummies, I got question . Am having menstrual like pain since 3.30am, and still having them now .. Baby is still moving actively, but my cramps are not letting up . Went for my 35th week checkup just yst but doc didn't say anything . I worry if I go Kandang Kerbau Hospital now, I might be sent home and have to pay an expensive amount ! There's nobody at home now either sob sob . I tried a warm shower but it's not working .. I'm only 35 weeks preg
Babe, did you time your contraction intervals?
How long does this menstrual pain last each time?
If intervals are almost equal or lesser, and pain is between 1-4mins....
No choice I think you better go hospital and check ctg....... There might b possibility that you will b send back Hm but at least better than you are staying at home and worrying
lovepixie: haha i lol when i read the part when you signing off as the soon to be cow hehe..
allele and lovepixie, I also experience the same pain you all going thru although i m onli 36 weeks.. Its very tiring.. but i also agree its worth it for our precious
luckystar: Oh my.. you have mother and mother in law to help but your hubby doesnt want to.. i hope your hubby can finally understand the beauty of having mother or mother in law to help taking care of your baby.. keep talking and physco your hubby.. eventually he will understand one ^^
lizasaifi: hey babe! i m so glad to see your good news regarding Baby Nurin!!! look forward to the day she go back hoome with you all in your arms!
MamaDT: Mama! hahaha.. Me was on MC yesterday so i never come in here!! and now then i can read al the posts because in the morning til now i went to attend an in house course =p hee.. the pains that your gynae says its normal issit the pelvic area pains? I also have the movement chart but I only monitor it for 2 days then i stopped monitoring alreayd because baby has been moving frequently hehe.. I m so lazy..I been drinking coconut juice twice a week.. just drank it 2 days ago.. maybe tonight or tomorrow drink again=p that time my gynae already appointed 1 pediatrician already.. so i think i no need to go find myself btw.. I have mensus cramp.. too... but i can tahan.. just that i m so scared that is contractions..
ivyb: wow you will be seeing your baby in less than 3 weeks!! so excited for you!!! Do update us your status then!
Mreow Mreow: i think all of us might not gain so much weight already because when i checked my weight last week during my gynae appt, I actually lost weight.. about 500 grams and baby gained also about 500 grams.. No more naughty naughty with hubby.. whole body pain pain no mood haha
Cherry Blossom: wow good that your baby is 2.9kg and is gaining weight well
Honeyfiedcherry: yaaa, try to m0nitor the contraction interval and duration!
I cant quit my job cos my hubby not earning enuff to provide for all of us.. all because of the car we need to provide. But having a car is really more convenient especially when we have kids..
I want to complain a bit.. Now even if i dont sit too long.. my pelvic area is very painful when i walk very xin ku!!
And I have stretch marks even though i apply biooil diligently! =(
- Anyone can recommend me good infant centres? Thank you!
- Do mummies now feel emo suddenly without any reasons? I do feel that these few days . .like become very fussy and kinda demanding.. then when things doesnt happen the way i wanted to, i will be very upset.. especially when hubby is not doing the minimal i wanted from him..things like washing cup after use.. throw away coffee bags after drinking.. washing clothes when i need some clothes that i wanted to wear to work (because i dont have much cllothes to wear already).. I will start to complain that I do not have clothes to wear anymore due to clothes not washed.. Like become very fussy and commanding.. I dont really like how I am behaving nowadays! then when i see myself in the mirror.. I starts to hate myself.. cos i gained quite a lot of weight during my pregnancy.. I start to worry what if I cant slim back to the usual me (cos the usual me is quite slim..) .. worry about my baby no one take care(cos i dont really want to send baby to infant care / nanny..) .. Start to worry about finance... worry about almost eveyrthing.. I so worried i will get pre / post natal depression.. Choy Choy *touch wood*

Hi MamaDT, thanks dear .. I feel a bit better after some rest but my head is spinning, and has been for almost a week now, that's why have not't been online ..
Momopeachgal, I have no idea how to time them, haha . Going back tk rest now ..
Happy to see all is doing well
Honeyfiedcherry: rest well!!!
Hahah Momopeachgal I really thought you went labourward hahahaa
Pelvic pains was an issue brought up with gynae yesterday it's normal yah.... dont worry hahaha and I also feel the pain when walking now... And I felt I can fall backward anytime as I walk haha still learning to balance my posture...
Think there's a thread on infant school in this forum maybe you can go take a look
As for the emo thingy, I dont't really have it so often... Maybe coz I dont have to go work during pregnancy so lesser things for me to demand (eg nice clothes, make ups etc)
When r you going for your maternity leave? I think you dont't need the working clothes very soon once you are on maternity leave
As for the rest household chores demand, just open one eye close one eye... That will help you to relax better at this time
As for the built, alamak dont't worry, you will slim back with perserverance ok... Just keep on breast feeding as it helps to shape back... like what Lovepixie says "moo moo cow" lol
Actually you look nice with your bump now ... dont't think too much heehee
Stretchmark - most mummies have yah
Finance - hmmm dont go and worry the things that have not happen yah, one step at a time... If still have to plan, share this burden with your hubby "chuan dao qiao tou Zhi rang Zhi"
Now we just need to concentrate on baby's well-being... Few more weeks! And after delivery, we will just be milking cows
Rest of the plannings, let hubby go try sourcing with our most minimum guidance if needed!
Honeyfiedcherry, take care yah just monitor your pains and time yah
MamaDT! wah i hope i wont deliver that fast , i stil havent enjoy the days when i no need to work. lols i will be on maternity leave next Thursday onwards..
Hmm actually I find it hard to walk now also.. Cos every step is painful, and somemore the weight of the baby is pressing on me.. i also trying to balance my posture.. Cos my posture is veyr ugly now.. like very bulky and clumsy.. and walk very slow..
Yaaa i dont really need the working clothes soon but then i felt disappointed when I have thought of what to wear the next day and end up knowing that the clothes is still inside the washing machine unwashed.. then i starts to open the wardrobe and search for clothes that I could fit in.. in the end no clothes for me to fit in.. then in the end i have to waer the clothes that I do not like to wear one.. and there goes my mood in the morning. and the whole day..
ya built is the one that worries me the most.. okie.. i really hope i can go back to the usual me.. if not i really can throw my whole wardrobe away lols.. haha yaaaa.. Moo moo cow hahahah! thanks dear for the encouragement!!! i shall not tink too much about weight now .. i hope most of it is the water retention. cos my legs especially i tink is very swollen. from my thighs all the way to my feet.. heard from hubby water weighs more.. water is more heavy than fats..
finance worries me too.. I see whad i can do about it.. really hope that I no need to work hehe.. wanna spend time with my baby boy!! btw.. you never update your signature. hehe. =p
Off work ! ^^
Lol yes Momopeachgal my signature is only updated once a week hahaha lazy me... Lol
Happy evening everyone!!!! ^^
haha realised when i using phone to read here,i cannot see the signatures ... good evening , just reached mother in law house. look forward to eat the dinner she cook cos she is a great cook!
Momopeachgal, initially I used Palmer's cocoa butter but I dont like the smell, so after that i change to bio oil, then one fine day, i suddenly saw there is little part of stretch mark, I then changed back to cocoa butter, the mark actually gone.... Thereafter I continue use back the cocoa butter.... You might want to consider...
Personally I think different ppl use different product will have different results.... My sis used bio oil, she got no stretch mark after giving birth of 2 children; my sis in law used Palmer cocoa butter but got stretch mark.... Aihz...
so you see how ~~
