Btw, today is my 2nd yr wedding anniversary, 7 nov. B zhai will be the best present for me n my hubby on 9 nov!
Bzhai, that's the nicest gift you can ever have!
Nature, stingy when you pee?? I'm thinking how am I going to poo without hurting the stitches...no urge to poo yet even though my gynae gave me the laxative medicine. How long did it came in for you mummies?? Today is like my 3rd day after delivery since baby was born on Sunday.
Mummies, do you know of any help to translate hanyu pinyin name to hokkien? Need to translate the name for my boy
Thanks Katherine, you r so sweet.
Gg2012, hope you are doing well!! Waiting for your good news. I'm usually around 150/100 now. Sometimes will spike or go down.
Babyeskimo, you should be going hospital !!
Gg2012, btw are you having strong contractions when you are 2cm dilated? How many tablets were inserted?
My baby is 1 week now...had jaundice on day 3 and we rent the light bed at home for 3 days till tomoro.. i quite worry.
After every latch, my baby keep mouthing and dont't want to sleep...confinement lady say she want food and keep ask me give formulae...finally give in 1 formulae feed at 1.30am last nite..now scare she dont't want to latch and breastfeed.
I also introduced bottled feed after 5 days of no sleep since delivery day.
Can i know to do total breastfeed, is it no time to sleep at all? My baby like have to latch on every 1.5hrs..is it normal?
Now i latch first, then my baby will fall asleep and then i pump...and it use 1.5hrs per session.
Quite stress about milk flow as baby seems to want more food. i can pump total of 40 to 50ml milk in day 7 now...can know how is your flow? Should i give formulae or baby will have enough milk?
Thanks so much.
was still 2.5cm dilate only, stayed here over 12hrs already...
not so pain at the beginning, but became stronger cramps & back pain.
Still can bear with it, but as I will take epi no matter what, coz gynae said can help to control blood pressure, so I just take it.
hope my baby comes out soonest, I keep talking to her~
Yeah epidural can help reduce bp. My gynae also suggest I take. I confirm will take. Wow! It's quite a long wait. My gynae is asking me to go to her mount e clinic tomorrow to put 2 tablets and then go home. Fri morning return to hospital to break waterbag and start labour. She even promise Friday my baby sure come out.
Yeah, talk to your baby ask her to drill harder.
Mummies who have given birth, pls advise b zhai. If I am the kind that dont't exercise. Walk a bit very tired and legs ache, feel breathless always. Will I have problem when I deliver? Worried my leg will shiver cos no strength and worried I will be too breathless to push! doc say I should take epidural to reduce bp. So the more it's harder to push right?
Gynae say if got contractions then cm back hospital. I also dont know . A bit worried.
Hi B zhai,I would say it depends on your gynae and your body's reaction to the epidural. For me,I shivered a little after epidural was given. My gynae made sure I felt the contractions even with the epi so when I was fully dilated I had the strong urge to push. Some gynaes would have the epi to a level that you dont't feel anything at all and they will ask you to push by monitoring your contractions graph. The midwives assisting the gynae also helped to push on my stomach while I pushed baby out.
Discuss your options with your gynae but dont't worry too much. Everything would come into place on D-day! Good luck to you and jiayou!
My baby has no problem switching between the hospital bottle, home bottle and my breast although i stop bf ing him for 4 days in a row. Now i bf him once a day cos formula will help him clear his jaundice sooner. Will switch over more often once he gets better.
I think you can mix feed and give yourself less stress and more sleep.

The thing that tired me out was the initial labour pains because i was trying not to use epidural for as long as possible. Now i will say use it soon as possible to help rest your body for more energy to push later. The shivering part came in after baby was deliverd and only when im trying to control or move my muscles. And do not drink too much after you deliver cos you may vomit. The nurse watch me drink half a bottle of water and i threw everything up when i reached my ward.

Katherine,I also worried about peeing and pooing after delivered. After my delivery at 5pm,that night the nurse came and pressed my stomach and told me I have to empty my bladder by that night as it will cause incontinence if I hold for too long, else they will have to insert the catheter to help me empty.initially I didn't want to get out of bed cos of the stitches so they put bedpan for me but I couldn't urinate.end up I sat in the toilet for half hour before urinating.the wound stung but still bearable.
As for poo,I took the stool softener on afternoon of 4th day and night time I managed to poo.I started with half the dosage 5ml only cos my friend say it caused her to LS and her piles to bleed.it's not really painful as the stools are soft but be careful of wound when wiping.today is my 8th day,I'm still taking the softener as my wound still hurts.
Katherine,my baby just wear a top, diaper and mittens. During daytime I try not to swaddle unless she doesn't seem to sleep well. Sometimes she keeps moving her arms and legs when sleeping so swaddling can help her sleep better. Read that this is due to their natural reflexes.
My baby will open her mouth big big when she is ready to be fed..usually about 2-3hrs so I just need to hold and guide her head to my breast.maybe your baby isn't hungry yet when you try to feed? I think the breastfeeding pillow is quite useful.I cradle hold my baby so the pillow helped to support her body weight. I'm also using epi pillow to sit so that the episiotomy wound doesn't hurt after sitting for too long.
