For me, fenugreek doesn't have any effect. Sometimes, low supply of milk is because not all your milk ducts are through.Originally Posted by Katherine57:717996Finally have time to post. Last two days like fighting war at home!!!! Discharged on thurs, baby jaundice was 178, today went back blood test n it's 235, doc said it is reaching the peak already so mon test again, should drop. So does all Polyclinic give priority to mummies with babies??
We tried yday letting baby wear short sleeves tee, diaper n mittens in living room but mother in law said must cover feet, hands n feet must be kept warm so we added a long pants with foot wrap. Night time was long sleeve n long pants with mitten n booties n swaddle in a blanket and covered with another blanket like how they do it in the hospital. I find that just the blanket swaddle not enough for baby. My room is set at 27 deg n low fan speed already.
So good to know that I'm not the only one struggling with breastfeeding and jaundice. Was Emo these few days since birth, everyday cry n upset about something.
Massage lady came yday and said use a warm towel to massage breasts before latching or pumping then after that must also use a warm
Towel to massage. Also need to squeeze nipple after massage to check if milk is flowing, If it is not then nipple is blocked n need to undo the blockage thru massaging. A friend recommends me to eat cod fish, she said the good fats will help in milk flow. Also I'm going to buy the fenugreek, have you mummies benefitted from it???
