really?? Bio-oil also?? it sounded so good in the magazine that I was thinking of giving it a try..hmm then better not.
Nature, my gynae recommended elastin-c, i think that's how it's spelt. Nice smell...your that spoiled mama sounds good! where did you get it from?? Is it very oily??
It's not oily, the bump gloss is light and tummy cream is moisturizing and absorbed quite fast. My friend got it in US. Think in Asia only can get from HK.
Btw, check this article on stroller out:
Hi B Zhai, Thats sweet! I'm going for my scan next week. =)
Hi mumsies.. I also went for my scanning on few days ago (15 week) and still couldnt tell the gender yet. Baby was back facing us and sleeping at that time. haha.. This is my first child so no preference for me, i wish baby is healthy and fine. But somehow i felt that baby is a boy
So mumsies do you all have any preference or any instinct about the gender of your child in your belly?
Excited for those of you who are going for the scan!Originally Posted by allele:662116
I had an instinct it is gonna be a girl before the scan, and indeed I was right. Like I only had inspirations for girl's names, craving for sweet stuffs, mad love for cute stuffs and still doll up very often. Many told me too I am having girl, lol.
My birthday present is the arrival of my baby, lol.Originally Posted by B zhai:662049
I'm not applying any stretch marks cream at the moment now since it's not scientifically proven that the cream can reduce/prevent stretch marks.Originally Posted by Katherine57:661937
Have you guys bought the baby cot yet?
Yup, got it from motherhood fair!
I have not. Was eyeing the cot from taka but the sales guy told me to wait for taka fair on 18th jul with more freebies. It is a weds, do you think he might be mistaken?
We are thinking of getting the cot from ikea, something cheap because baby may not use it for many years so dont't want to spend that money.
Btw where are the baby stuff in taka huh? I went to level 3 before but can't seem to find the baby stuff, mostly children stuff though, will be interesting to check out the taka sale
have not't gone for my detailed scan but saw two gynae and both told me its highly possible a boy. I also feel it could be a boy since mine is an ivf pregnancy and it's easier to have boy than girl through ivf
I would want to check out the taka sale too. I read somewhere that there's a baby fair on the 20-22 July but not toos ure if its confirmed..
I feel thats its a boy too! hubby thinks its gal.. 50-50 split among the family members regards to the gender.. haha
Think its the anticipation that makes it fun.. after knowing then its the shopping! =|
The baby section in taka is tucked at a corner. Behind the kids clothes and beside the toys. They have only 1 cot on display and is quite small.
Yes there is another baby fair around 21st jul weekend at the expo. Got a flyer on it from my gynae 's clinic.
Ive been buy a few pcs of clothes here and there but bought a tonne of them last night from US sites as they are so cute and on sale!! Looks like no more clothes shopping for a while..
There's another baby fair at expo from 20-22 Jul.
Hi Katherine, Ikea's cot is not really user friendly as the railings can't be moved at all. We initially thought of getting that too.
Hi Nature, I bought mine last night at Spring Maternity. $348 convertible to junior bed too, includes free mattress and bedsheet + pillow and bolster. I was told to upgrade to a better mattress that is breathable for the baby in case she lies facing down on the mattress by topping up an additional $30. Then I further bought another bedding set, bag for bottles and diapers in future and they gave a free baby carrier. Spent too much yesterday but hope it's all worth it.
Hi Joasiss, I was told by my friends not to buy too much 0-3mths clothings because baby will outgrow them in a few weeks. Instead get more for 3-6mths and 6mths onwards clothings. Get more bibs and hankerchieves as they use up quite a lot!
I would not be in spore for the baby fair! =( hope theres another one after that. May want to look for stroller then..
Haha Nature, for the baby, anything expensive is worthwhile! I asked for them to deliver the cot 1mth before my EDD so it doesn't collect dust, lol.
Where are you travelling to? That's so cool, bringing your baby in your tummy with you.
I guess I will only buy the pram once baby reaches 3 months, many are advising that it is better to carry baby when we head out during the first 3 mths as baby's spine is still not exactly stabilized. But still looking around and targeting the prams now though.
Heading to maldives with hubby. changed the air tix with miles accumulated from the banquet dinner, just over the weekend.
There are saying about how its not good for baby to be in pram coz of the vibrations to the back as well! My friend's mom did not get pram and carried them till they can walk.
Lol, the baby will be too heavy to carry by then. Your friend's mom is a superwoman! Enjoy your trip to maldives!
