thanks so much for your advises.
can I dont't give water if I do nite formulae n day breast milk?
Do you still latch your baby after the massage? I worry the medicated oil smell too strong for baby if I latch.
Lyndi, congrats! Exciting story...
Hi Bzhai, the jaundice test was done on day 3 before discharge from hospital. If level is above 10mg/dL, doc will advise to stay in hospital for light treatment.
Hi barneybaby, my masseur uses only olive oil for the breasts and advised me to use towel to clean up breast area before latching on but I do find that the massage oil is a little overwhelming for baby hahahaha so I express out the milk and bottle feed him instead.
I'm doing mixed breast milk n fm and I dont't feed water because baby choked when we tried to feed him some water. Think the water flow too fast for him to drink.
thanks so much for your advise. The oil I use is like abit hot & medicated smell..I also do bottle feed due to the smell..but I worry if 7 days no latch, will baby reject latching totally soon?
Anyone has heat rash problem? I keep perspire n my neck n below neck have heat rash all over ..n I dont't dare to latch baby too. I hvnt bathe yet but think might have too soon areadi.
Wow Lyndi you r really brave... If I m you dont think can bear with the contraction ..
Gg2012, how many days after your delivery already? So I can gauge when will my bp drop. Cos I'm day 6 only.
Thanks nature! Sun 20 min front n back or??
Hi Barneybaby, you cannot wipe off the oil?? Becos my masseur will tell me to wipe off in the morning then I will let baby latch on
Katherine,10mins front 10mins back. Clothes and diaper must take off and make sure to cover baby's eyes with a hanky..the sun must not be too hot.usually my CL would sun baby before 830am. Each time my baby would cry and cry because she feels very hot. Their skin is much more sensitive to the heat.
I'm wondering how did the doctor burst the water bag? Is it painful?
do any of you give your masseuse a small token (angbao) on the 1st and final day of massage?
My baby finally discharge .. No need to go back for jaundice checkup which mean no more poky.. But have to go back for hepB poky in his first month.
Actually no need to remove diaper while sunning.. Must importantly is the liver area. So just remove the top n sun the baby. The sun is most harmless from 8-9.
Nope I didn't. Whoops.

I didn't give masseur Ang bao also, today just finished last massage, she's quite good actually, maybe will ask her to do normal massage in future if she can fit me into her slots.
I tried to sun today, in my bedroom but it was close to 10am so only sun baby for 5 min because scared too hot. Maybe tomorrow will try again, hopefully the jaundice will go down tomorrow when we go check
Hi teriwinkle, did you ask xin Yi pin for Ang ku kueh?? My mother in law said apart from red eggs, must also have Ang ku kueh...
Oh Teriwinkle I just ordered from Xin Yi Pin today. I booked two slots cos have two groups of friends. R you going to cut your baby hair ? going to cut in salon? i might go to do the 胎毛笔！so they will cut for me?
I was examining the hook they used to burst my water bag. It looks just like a long knitting needle with a slight hook at the end. No feeling when my waterbag was burst and i didn't know til the doc told me it was done. the contractions started to hurt immediately after that. Before that was just stomach harden. After that was like bad cramps.Originally Posted by PockyMummy:720541
I chose ang ku kueh, we'll do the red eggs ourselves. Glutinous rice not necessary right?

Yup, heard if you are getting the calligraphy pen, they will cut for your baby too. But very expensive. And not sure if they will mix in other hair since might not have enough hair.
Is cutting baby's hair a norm to follow? I'm still undecided if I wanna cut my girl's hair. But if so, probably cut at baby spa.

Hi teriwinkle, I see. My mother in law said glutinous rice is optional but said the Ang ku kueh is a common item to have. Yah maybe then we made the red eggs ourselves, easier than buying Ang ku kueh, haha
How's the interaction with xin Yi pin? Are their sales person ok?? Shall await your feedback on their food!! I'm having mine on 2nd dec, prob book with xin Yi pin too unless there's other recommendation for caterers
