i have mild gastric problems. i find it helps drinking milk to keep stomach lined before you get hungry i.e. before the pain...
dont eat spicy food or acidic food. avoid acidic and citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruit, kiwi and tomatoes - those that are very sour. also do not take fruits on empty stomach - have it after meals or a while after meals. bananas, apples, pears are ok. i find having yoghurt (and muesli if you want it as breakkie) also helps. Get those with live probiotics - Lactobacillus acidophilus or Bifidobacterium bifidus
are best. get as natural as possible and not the sweetened flavoured stuff.
most of all... keep eating small meals and dont go hungry - it will only make it worse
Oops didn't know fruits cause phglem too, I eat them everyday! Shall reduce!!

I try plain whole meal bread n plain biscuit but eat until feel like vomity..haha. Was thinking any other food or snack can help gastric?
I got gastric problem before pregant..that's why maybe now gastric will be more sensitive.
Hmm oatmeal?? But eat small regular meals will do
Thanks so much.. I got confused to drink or not to drink milk..some say good..some say no no.
Yogurt help? Can buy the Meiji brand mixed berry yogurt? I only dare o eat tis brand coz the rest is too sour for me.
yah barneybaby... different people have different experiences... you have to try what and see what is best for yourself and how you feel better. if milk is no good then maybe reduce. if its better then can drink more.
i dont think i tried meiji yoghurt before... should b ok. just dont go hungry! high-calcium biscuits (jacobs, julie's etc) can also help with calcium intake
dont't get berries. They're sour. Plain should do. Well, we need 900mg of calcium a day... that equates to 2.5 slices of cheese. If you want to take more calcium, can take ikan bilis too. Should be quite easy to achieve. The calcium pills that gyne give... I think you're referring to calcium lactate right? That's to help for breastfeeding. I'm on those too..
Oatmeal is good too. Nestum or Nesvita etc. Those kinda food will really help.
Went to the gynae today and my baby is already 1.4kg at 29 weeks. Quite a big jump from my previous 600g a month ago!
Waaahh, teriwinkle!!! chubbier than mine! my boy was 1kg at 26 weeks. my gynae said hes a bit chubby too heeheeee
how much weight have you put on? according to my wyeth chart at 29 wks, average weight gain ~ 7.7kgs
Hi Jesamine & Babyeskimo
Okok...thanks for your tips. Will stock up the food you mention.
Alternatively go and buy probiotics supplements for digestion. I took them before pregnancy and they do help with indigestion
Hehe I've put on 9kg! Gynae says it's a healthy weight gain lol. According to the average fetal weight at 29 weeks, baby should weigh at 1.1kg. But gynae says baby is at a healthy weight too!
