Your womb now is starting to learn how to stretch.. So that when baby grows bigger, it will b able to accommodate to your baby.. That's y you r feeling the tension..
When you r in your trimester 2 etc.. you might feel some of your old injuries come back n look for you.. Cos your body is preparing for birth of baby to go thru the passageway, the hormones are actually loosening all your joints so that your baby can b squeezed out.. Also, when you preggy, your immune system will b lowered so that your body will not reject the growth in your body. It's really amazing.
If you have iPhone.. Go download apps like "what to expect", "baby bumps", "baby center".. you will b able to learn a lot from there.
hello all mummies.. me by calculation edd should be early oct too going gynae on the 3rd keke 1 day before my son 1's bdae
all must take care .. keke.. i am super happy to know i am pregnant.. keke dragon baby
Hey ladies! It's my first post here and just wanted to share that we should be expecting our first baby in October 2012 too!
Our first visit to the gynae will be 15th March 2012 (@ Kandang Kerbau Hospital), and I really can't wait as it's supposedly the day where we can see the heartbeat of our little one. Keeping fingers crossed!
What's really on my mind these days are the type of births that I should be considering.. hypnobirthing? waterbirth? drug-free? And also the type of prenatal lessons (胎教) that we should be going for or what we should be doing. Parenthood is a big responsibility!
Anyone going through the same thoughts as me?
Sorry but i heard the service at Kandang Kerbau Hospital is not that good.
this is my 2nd pregnancy. i didnt go through prena lessons.
Just relax and enjoy pregnancy is good enough.. keke
To me i used to thought of going for those lesson but i realise it is a waste of money and i believe all mothers will get to learn the skills soon enough
Hi Mummies, am having my 2nd baby in my fat tummy now, EDD 14 Oct as calculated by a poly dr. ^^ aching of legs right now, every now and then. appetite so so, soreness of breast (ouch!) .still deciding whether to go as Kandang Kerbau Hospital subsidized or TPS ~ advise please mummiesssss~
I decided to take TPS coz if you go under their subsidised rate, you will not be given the same gynae during check-up and for me I prefer to meet the same gynae so that my gynae can give a better follow-up. Ultimately, your choice.
But some of my friends told me that TPS is more expensive compared to other hospitals.
Hi everyone, i m new here !!
My EDD early Oct.
Did you all put on weight during the 1st 5 week ?
Hi Purpur. Hmm i'm not putting on additional weight for now as far as I see. I'm in my first 5 weeks too. At most for the first trimester, we should only be putting on a maximum of 1 to 2 kg only if I read correctly.
Hey Asphere, thanks for the advice Which hospital did you deliver at previously?
Where you read the info, mind sharing related webpage etc ? cos i m putting on weight around 2 kg last measured which is few weeks ago.
i m at week 7 now, i eat as n when i feel like if i dont i will feel nausea !!

Jofeny, thank you for the tip about the iphone app! Really useful.
Asphere, hi! I'm seeing Dr Tham too! He's really nice n friendly isn't he? How did you find Thomson Medical Center? I'm interested in going Mt A, but my friend said it wld be better to deliver at Thomson Medical Center since Dr Tham is thr.. Any advice?
Purpur, I am putting on weight, and I am in my 7 weeks now. I agree with you and Diza.. cannot dont't eat, else will feel nauseous. Lately though, I've not been able to feel hungry. Feel full and bloated all the time. I only realise I m hungry when I feel faint or nauseous or stomach growls! Anyone has the same issue?
Anybody seeing Dr Lawrence Ang @ Sun Plaza? Is it pack? How's the charges like?
Hello Alyssa, well it is always good to deliver in the hospital where the gynae is.. if you go Mt A. need to pay more.
dont't waste those money.
Also he can come to see you immediately if you are admited coz he is in Thomson Medical Center mah I
f you are comparing food in hospital. well Thomson Medical Center food really not nice. their best food is the fruits
Yes Dr Tham is really good.. haha I intro him to alot of my frenz haha. He is really funny and always make the checks easy.. keke
I am bringing my son to my visit on the 3rd so he can see my son.. 1 day before my son's 1st bdae
Hello fellow Oct 2012 mothers-to-be!
Just wanted to say hello - this is my first post. My EDD is mid-Oct.
I found out last Mon that I was preggers from a HPT. Gynae confirmed my pregnance last Wed, and placed me at about 4 to 5 weeks gestational age. But since he couldn't detect the gestational sac, he said I could have ovulated late. Just to be sure, I took another blood test on Sat, two days from the first test, to see if HCG levels have doubled - which indicates a viable pregnancy.
Praise God, I got the results today, and my HCG level more than doubled... it tripled, from 300+ to 1300+!
One step at a time, for first trimester.
Good journey, all my fellow MTBs!
Spotting has since reduced and continuing to stay in bed till total clear..
But ms is starting to kill me.. Sometimes I can puke up to 7 times a day..
Trying to occupy my mouth whenever the taste bud feels sourish ..
Need advises from MTBS as in how to Keep the water down...
Do you get it the worst when you first wake up in the morning? Some tips which work for me...
Eat something light before bed, like Jacob's crackers.
Leave light snacks by your bedside, so you can eat something like biscuits or crackers right when you wake up before the morning sickness hits you. It feels better when you have eaten something when you first wake up.
Hi dear, glad to know your ok. My MS was very bad too last week. I can't seem to digest my food and would vomit about 30 mins later. So my friends told me to drink H2O or 100 plus to keep myself hydrated. So far it works but I will drink it only if my MS is bad for that day. Somehow, I realised that I can't digest certain food so I usually stay away from those food. Thankfully, my MS is better this week. I suggest that you eat lotsa fruits if you find it hard to eat anything.
Sounds like something sweet will work. Maybe a banana? Or a honey drink? If sweet stuff seems to mmake your nausea feel better, can go for healthy sweet stuff. Or dried cranberries, raisins, dried apricots. So every time you feel the nausea hitting you, you can down a few.
I'm also experimenting what works for me and why sets it off!
hmmm seem like many have terrible ms... but lets hang in there after the 1st trimester, it will be fine rem to always be happy so all of us will have happy babies
I do not have terrible ms. my this pregnancy and the 1st one seem similar keke so have not feel any difference yet.
My wife and I are expecting our child on 09 Oct 2012.
We went back for our second checkup ytd at AL. Lim Clinice yesterday.
Everything's normal so far.
Saw our baby's heartbeat..
We're so excited.
Hope to be able to learn things from this forum, as I'm a first-time dad..
Wifey doesn't really have any MS, except for being bloated, and always having the feeling of vomitting.
She's in her 7th week now.
Tentative names for baby: Sebastian or Mykeala.
