felicity, I got goosebumps when I read your entry ..... luckily my hubby is with me and not on biz trip. If not I dont't want to wake up in the middle of the night to pee.
All the best for tomorrow's detailed scan
Thanks brenbelle! I am like you. few weeks ago, my stomach was still quite flat. suddenly one day I noticed my stomach grows. My hubby who was just back from biz trip for 2 weeks also mentioned that. But my bum is still not obvious though because our relatives and friends said they did not know I was pregnant until I told them.
I tried to gain weight, but so far I am unsuccessful I hope to gain at least 8-10 kg for this pregnancy.
reiann, I also dont't think that boy should be dressed blue and can't be pink. I have all colors of clothes already, courtesy from my sister. As wanting to have boy, my family consist of 5 girls (mum and me and my siblings) and 1 man. That's why I want boy to increase the number of man in my family. My hubby is also the only son in the family with 2 sisters.
But girl also fine by me .... It's not die die have to be boy mah...
Hi tealeaf, I thought I was the only 'alien' on why I ballooned suddenly. Just hope the bum not too big for me to carry as I am of small built. Sigh, think weight gain is a must to prove that the little one is growing daily but make us mummies fat.
All the best for your detailed scan..

thanks everyone... i was super traumatized the whole day but when i got home after work and looked around my living room again, i decided to convince myself that my eyes are playing tricks on me... i believe i've been nice and will receive only good karma and always be surrounded by positive vibes ^^ haha...
but despite psychoing myself w all the 'positive vibes thinking'... i've been puking more and more these days! it's horrible >< today i puked right after i've eaten lunch... and after that i keep having a burning sensation in my tummy but no appetite to eat anything, so end up wih only a hot chocolate... then some soup for dinner... couldn't eat much of the rice and ended up throwing away. =/ tomorrow gonna ask my doc about it. hmm.. maybe baby wants to help me fulfill my long time dream - to lose weight. hahaha!
thanks all mamas for the well wishes and all the best for all... can't wait for my detailed scan tomorrow!
Ladies, any ideas how to cure / ease heartburn ??
purpur, there are the list of suggestions obtained from my gynae:
- avoid fatty, spicy, and rich foods
- eat small frequent meals
- eat and drink slowly
- drink fluids between, rather than with meals
- do not rush around right after meals
- sleep with extra pillow under your head
- last, consult your doctor
how's your detailed scan? =)
Thanks tealeaf for sharing
Tealeaf, currently I started to have heartburn too, I sleep with extra pillow since I pregnant till now but I could not avoid spicy & sour food, just craving for it..
Ya, felicity, how are you? Details scan OK and the gender is the one you wish?
Hi purpur, I got these information online, you can try any of these below.
- Stay upright
- Drink a large glass of water as soon as you feel the first flicker of a heartburn
- Drink heartburn-easing tea
- Drink a tablespoon of vinegar
- Generate and swallow extra saliva
- Drink vegetable juices, like carrot, cucumber, radish, or beetroot
- Mix half a teaspoon of bicarb and a few drops of lemon juice in half a cup of warm water
- Drink a glass of whole milk
- Take antacids such as Tums or Rolaids, or drink Pepto-Bismol
- Mix some baking soda (AKA sodium bicarbonate) with water and drink the solution
Thanks Brenbelle , will try c whether it works for me anot ..

Hi mummies, can anyone feedback which skin moisturizers for body are safe to use? I have been using Vaseline lightening lotion for long time and worried that it's not safe for preggies.
baby is a little princess... hubby and i already have a hunch that it's a gal since i'm pregnant, although ww were hoping for a boy when trying, but it's ok. my only reason for wanting a boy previously is to save money actually... hahaha =x sure buy a lot of sweet cutie stuff for the princess one!! baby gal stuff are so irresistable!!!
doc says everything's fine... baby as usual, very active, dancing away when doing the scan. so far i've been to oscar scan, detailed scan, and normal scan by 3 diff docs... all say baby dancing or very hyper cannot stop moving... influenced by my mambo nights and playing just dance on kinect in my first month of pregnancy? i was unaware then and was dancing a lot >< i have not't felt the kicking though. although i only gained 0.5 kg since start of pregnancy, there's ample space for baby to dance away inside... not kicking on me yet. but maybe the extra room for baby means my digestive systems all squashed up, so very prone to vomitting...
i like to eat spicy stuff and have been eating spicy stuff often... so far i feel ok, but sometimes i will still vomit, and spicy food are nasty to vomit!
i bought bio oil for stretch mark because my bro's gf says it helps her lighten her scars and she really trusts in it... ytd at Thomson Medical Center, the saleslady at the pharmacy was recommending this brand called elancyl... she says a lot of ppl give very good review. any one heard before or used before?
Felicity, it's great that everything went well yesterday
how come you have 3 different docs for different scans?
True, baby girl stuff is soooo cuteee... If I have a niece, I could not resist to buy her cute clothes, cute toys, etc. But I have an active nephew and he is so cute. hehehe...
hee i went to 3 docs cos first one i just went to confirm my pregnancy, before i decided on my gynae... actually that one, baby still small i think maybe she didn't say baby dancing dancing... wait i think she did... was a tiny dancing baby at 8 weeks lol. then i went to my gynae. third one was when i was having my long bad cough, i scared affect baby so just walked in at nearby gynae to do an impromptu check on one of the days i was on mc, just to have peace of mind...
yea baby girl stuff super sweet and cute! will be very hard to resist!!! already told my hubby i wanna buy hello kitty doll house =x
Baby girls clothing seems to have more choices!
I went OG sales today to get richgi clothings for my boy. Heard from colleagues very comfy!
Going for baby studio warehouse sales next week.
My colleagues very sweet ask me dont buy so many things they ask me set up registry so that they can buy for me the things I want!)
rosemummy hee your colleagues are so sweet! where is a good place to set up a baby registry? haha we all should set up one for our wishlist!
came in wanting to share on the OG baby fair... you went already! how was it?http://singapore-promotions.com/wp-c...2-Apr-2012.jpg
here's more info for the rest, it's on 12-25 april
Felicity: I used Elancyl for my previous 3 pregnancies, worked fine but there's a slight smell which I did not like in the early 2nd tri... But once my sensitivity to smells lessened in later 2nd tri, I was okie with the smell. This time round, I'm using Clarins cream for anti-stretch mark. No smell at all, I like
Anyone have good gynae in Kandang Kerbau Hospital to reccomand?
