Hi all.. gynae is 90% confident baby is going to be a boy boy.. =P But I guess will have to wait till the detailed scan to be really sure...
Mummies.. are your babies active when you r doing the ultrasounds?? Mine seems to be snoozing all the time.. except for a few hiccupping jumps but then he's quite still... heartbeat is normal.. doc always seems to scan very fast and says everything normal.... Does the time of the scan makes a difference? I always do the scans between 12pm and 2pm... always early part of the day... Also, can you all feel your babies movements already??? I still can't feel anything yet...
I did a urine test just Monday and just received a call from the clinic saying something wrong with the urine.. could have some bacteria infection and have to do the test again just to be sure... very worrying... cos she said infection is not good... may lead to miscarriage....... could it be UTI?? geesh.. this is so worrying and frightening.... All i really wish is for baby to be safe and healthy...
So my & hubby decided not to spend the extra $$$ and buy better baby stuff for our little princess
Congrats on your baby boy! I am 20 weeks & having baby girl. Baby is initially snoozing when doc start the ultrasound but she will "wake up" and then start moving arms & legs like dancing until the doc can't snap a good & clear pic of her. Haha! I go to gynae at various times, 9am, 2pm, 4pm, but always the same results. And yes, I can feel my baby movements through the day.
PS. hope your urine test result isn't so bad...
Hey everyone.. I just joined this group... I'm pregnant for the first time, currently in the 18th week and my baby is due in the last week of September..
I have moved to Singapore about 4 months back with my husband and was just wondering if I could get some advise or reviews on giving birth at the Parkway East Hospital. I've been meeting with Dr.Roland Chieng, he's been really patient and nice through all our visits, with answering all our questions and explaining how things work.
I also want to know if its too early to start buying baby things... This being our first baby, we cant wait to start baby shopping. And could anyone who's had babies before tell me what are the things required for the start... Thanks all xoxo
Wow.. i feel so envy that you can feel your baby movements thru the day.. So far, i only felt my baby movement once, it felt so so good!!! All my suffering moments during the first trisem like all worth while.. hahhaha.. But i only felt that one time, when i was 16 wks. Now starting my 17th wk alrd, and i cant feel her..
During the 16th wk ultrascan, the baby moves around and like very active, then my hubby told me, "the baby so active like that, will she be very naughty when she born?? if a boy naughty still okay, but if a girl naughty how?!". After that i wonder if the baby sort of "know" what he meant and stop moving around.. huhuhuuhu...
I know it's ridiculous, but i cant help the thought occuring in my mind..
Yeah, i suspected it was the baby moving. It feels like there's bubles inside your tummy popping, something like there's gas there like when you feel hungry and your tummy growling. But the feeling is slightly different than when you feel growling coz of hunger. Furthermore, that time i just had my afternoon snack and next 20mins i feel flutters inside my tummy. I thought i was hungry again but i actually feel full. And then i remembered that it might be the baby, since i've read some articles that the movement can feel like gas or hungry feeling..
Now i think back, maybe few weeks before that the baby moved alrd and i can feel it. just that i always thought i was hungry.. lolz..
So try to relax after you eat, normally the baby will be active after you eat. maybe before, you can feel it too but just that you thought it's gas..
relax mflee and sapphire. Perhaps your babies are more on quiet side. As long as they grow well and healthily, no need to worry
Perhaps because my glucose is high at my 12 weeks pregnancy (yeah, I like to eat and drink sweet stuff during those weeks), that's why the baby is so active. But after being told that my glucose was high, I limit myself.
This 1 week, my baby is very active. In the morning before breakfast, the baby kicks me, after lunch and dinner also kicks me, at night when I watch tv, also kicks me. Even when I am going to sleep also kicks me. My husband finally can feel the baby's kick by putting his hand on my tummy and he's so happy.
I think should be normal because as far as i know, normally you can feel it around 16th-21wks.. so perhaps later on your 20th you can start feeling more.. Like, what i felt during the 16th week was just what people described as movements, it feels like bubbles inside the tummy. But when your pregnancy grows bigger, you should be able to feel hiccups, kicking, etc..
But now, *sigh* i cant feel that movement anymore, quite sad..
hey dont't worry mummies! i have not't started feeling in week 20 too... now 21st week... start to feel little bit. quite amazing. she's super hyperactive each time i go for scan, but since doc says my gal is a strong baby n very energetic... i'm not worried and actually i love it when she's active, makes me relieved that she's a strong healthy baby. last night while marking at home i can feel little bumpy feelings inside my lower tum... i guess that's the baby! the night before i tried to concentrate on feeling it while lying on my left in bed, and felt a little bit of fluttering in the left side ab, like the baby drop down to the left (due to gravity lol) and was kicking. that was my first time feeling... so excited!!
i live w my mother in law n i dont like her cooking. she use too much seasoning compared to my mum who always cook very healthy and wholesome food. i totally miss my mum's cooking but too busy with work these few weeks so only get to go back like once a fortnight =( but looking forward to confinement at my parents' place!
Normally what is the best time to do the details scan? Not in 20 weeks? how come the hospital arrange me at 22 weeks?
I thought the detail scan at 20-22 weeks?
