Hi mummies ,
Can anyone share how you prefer to leave your baby to the maid or infant care ?
will go for maid
would advise maid only if either one of your parents are overlooking the maid.
would not leave my baby with just a maid. you wouldnt know what shes capable of doing.. not trying to scare you but i feel that maids cant be trusted to handle your precious.. or any stranger for that matter.
I would rather leave my baby in infant care vs a maid alone with baby. At least the infant care centres are licensed by mcys and scheduled activities like playtime and motor skills activities to help with baby's development. Maid will not be able to do that on top of having to do household chores. My 2 cents. =)
how about nanny?
I feel that infant care not as good as it's one to many children. I am going to put her witg mt maid. N my mom will pop by every now n then to check.
You are lucky to have your mom to pop by every day to check. But what if we dont't have than we will not feel save to have a maid.
I have the same problem.. Got to bring my gal to meet client or office :-(
Hi, when I had my first born, was only deciding between nanny or infant care.. Coz both hubby & me working so feel super uncomfortable with just maid and baby alone.. Some more with the bad press of maid abusing babies..
After doing our nanny search, unless you've a recommended nanny, you may want to use infant care... When we almost want to confirm a nanny, she says she's going hols and can't take care of our baby.. What if when she takes up the job and then go on hols? For us, only hubby has leave, I dont't.. So for us, this is not feasible..
We turned to infant care, reluctantly at first.. But they were good! Though my girl gets sick easily, now at 4, she seldom falls sick, probably with the immunity built up.. Haha.. And with the teachers, there's everyday communication and they gave advices when we communicated our problems met at home with our girl.. With them, we learnt a lot.. Now my 3 children are at infant care, toddler and nursery.. All went through infant care and we were happy with what the kids experience through their social interactions with adults other than parents as well as with peers of their age.. Happy!
Guess, you have to decide yourself as different families have different situations..
Just my 2 cents worth :-)
Hi maple ,
Thanks for sharing, I've already enroll my baby to infant care on 2/1/13 cause I need to start work on 7/1/13 but my baby only nearly 3 mths I still very worried cause he is very fussy especially his sleeping pattern. I'm worried that he cannot get use to infant care cause presently he sleeps in 'yao lan' at home. Can I know when you sent your babies to infant care how many months was your babies?
My baby was 2.5 months old when she started infant care. We put her in for half days for 2 weeks ahead of my returning to work to get her use to the school before starting full days. =)
Najwee, thanks for sharing . Can your baby make it ?
