wow! seems like some of the mummies have already started buying quite a number of items. I havent started buying mine yet. But my mum has made the bean sprout pillow for the baby. I'm thinking to go for the baby fair in Oct, but I guess it will be super crowded there.
May I know how much cost each session of pre-natal massage cost? I'm thinking to go for 1 but not sure if it will be pricey. I have been getting leg cramps during the daytime.
Faith86: mine is $50 per hour
Phoebe84: Ic... which centre did you go to for the massage?
I think alot of mummies need a good massage... I went for babiesbellies first time trial using voucher from Mt Alvernia hospital tour - $44.90
Not too bad but with the belly there, it is still not as shiok as the real massage.
And they dont't hardsell.
Usual Price = $60 / hr
Anyone still doing housework at home or cooking while preggy? I tried to cook but my mom say standing too near the stove not good for baby.
I tried to handwash some clothes, very tedious, but my mom is a clean freak and she cannot just put clothes into washing machine without soaking and scrubbing.
My mother in law going eye operation and my hubby going for overseas trip so I'm thinking of helping my in laws with clearing dog poo once in a while when i pop over to their house, but doc say best is i dont touch dog poo. I see angmoh do all this like no sweat .
Argh, feels so useless, esp when I just sit there and everyone so busy and tired.
i need a good massage too! once in a while i ask my hubby to massage my shoulder for me...damn syiokkkkk~~~~~~~~
i am still washing clothes, ironing clothes....sweeping floor, mopping floor...but when my hubby sees, he'll feel guilty..so he'll help with the washing once in a while.....khekhekhe.....
how's the babiesbellies massage, selp? good?
btw mummies, any recommendation for a good baby carrier? My hubby is looking at something that is sitting on the hip...

Hi Lilmissy, I think I'll be looking either at BabyBjourn or Ergo. Will check out during fairs which is able to let baby rest the hips on...Originally Posted by LilMissy:822527
I think purchase online from sg is cheaper.
Hi Popori52, thanks for the sharing! coz hubby was thinking of i-angel, but still want to consider other options as well. wanna start recee-ing....
I saw many friends complimenting about Manduca baby carrier.. I also dont know which brand to get yet. Too many things need to buy!
I'm gonna let hubby know about Manduca and Ergo...Let him make the decision, since he will be the one carrying most of the time..Comfort is very impt to him...
The masseuse used oil with a fragrance and also massaged breasts, which I felt itchy after that, so if you are uncomfortable with it, maybe can tell her beforehand.
I like it when they dont't hardsell. Saves alot of breath cos' I'm not someone who likes to sign packages. I'll go as and when I like.
I am also due in Dec! I am a first-time mummy & I have not bought anything for baby yet.... Neither have I gotten any hands-me-down. Heh heh... Oops!
@kokura: welcome to the familY!
@selp: maybe i should give it a consideration..i dont know if it tickles me if they massage my breasts..haha...
Just like to check, do you mummies feel that your stomach and breast area are itchy? I always have e itchiness at both e areas
Mummies how's the going so far? I just went for gynae appt today.. At 26 weeks baby is 1kg heavy already! :O
Any mummy experience insomnia at night?
camcam: wow.. good that your weight is gg to your baby! i dont know hw much baby weighs coz gynae never tell me even when i ask.. he just said baby growing well.. but he tell me to ctrl my diet.. gained 2.3kg in 1 month! X_X btw, better to check with your gynae on the itchiness! i got itchy spots on my tummy area too and thot it is because of the skin stretching.. but gynae said its some fungus infection and gave me a antibacterial wash and cream for it.. now much better!
faith86: could be your skin stretching.. need to apply more oil/cream .. if really really itchy got to consult gynae i think.. my itch was driving me crazy!
selp: can you ask the massage lady to use our own stretchmark oil? mayb wun b that itchy.. i got the voucher too! shall try to call n make appt soon.. heehee!
kokura: welcome & congrats! nvm, you still have alot of time to get the stuff..
any mommies can see their tummies moving with the baby kicks?? its such a funny feeling, when i see my tummy move..
@chocoholic: Oh yes! i have been seeing my tummy moved. haha! and i have the tendency to stare at my tummy..LOL! and i think the lil one knows. so she keeps quiet after that..haha!
my tummy itches too, sometimes, especially at night. So i try to apply the cocoa butter cream at night as well, when previously, i hardly do so.
My gynae always measures the baby weight and let me know how much she weighs. will be going for my next gynae appt next fri. soooo looking forward to it!
Do you guys know if Obimin can be bought over the counter? my immunity level has been down...keep getting flu...
camcam: your baby is healthy! I'm only gg for my gynae appt 2 weeks later... it seems like a long wait.
Ya... I've been apply stretch mark cream and aloe vera on my tummy. However, I do not dare to apply any creams around my breast area though.
So I've been sleeping well at night. Just occasional trips to toilets at times.
chocoholic: I've never really seen my tummy move yet. Maybe it's also becos I didnt really pay attention to it.
LilMissy: Yes, Obimin can be bought at Watsons or Unity. Maybe you can drink/eat more Vitamin C drinks or fruits to keep your immunity.
Hi mommies! long time no post! how's everyone?
I back read and you guys are talking about baby fair. I think I visited all baby fairs so far and as usual crowded. Last weekend we went to mothercare parkway and bought some stuff. my layette is 90% complete plus extra clothes for baby travel abroad 3 months after birth. hehe.
i want to try the massage coupon from mt A too. my husband massages me every night. feet, back and shoulders. it's really relaxing.
on my first few posts I was still contemplating on which hospital to give birth. my doctor can do both mt A and Thomson Medical Center, we had hospital visit and decided to go for Thomson Medical Center.
My breasts were real itchy during the 1st trimester, cant help but kept scratching! but since week 12 onwards no more sore breast and the itch went away.. so i think is the stretching that makes it itch.. now occasionally, the tummy area will itch but not so bad. Rem the oil/cream ladies! I try to put every night after bathing.
I am one of the unfortunate, cant sleep well one... Backache, frequent dreams (even before preg) & i'm a light sleeper, so when baby moves, i will be awoken. Calf cramp in the middle of last night. sigh.. endure!!
Talking about Manduca, i saw a seller on Qoo10 selling it cheaper than online store! dont know whether to buy lei, dont know real or fake. Although the seller say real .. =.="
Yes i seen my belly move (pop up with the kick/punch), and sometimes i wonder whether baby is hicupping cos the motion is like a kick at one position and at regular interval of maybe 5 sec, for awhile. LOL. really fun.
Camcam, 26 weeks 1kg? wow!
My check up is 2 weeks later too.. so long! But i have to do a glucose test for the coming check up.. dont really look forward to the test cos i read that its not very pleasant.. yet cant wait to see baby.
