Into my 29w.. Gynae said checkup will be every 3 weeks then 2 weeks then 1 week!!
Getting so tired at work these dayS
Same here I'm squeezing public buses n mrt !!
phoebe84: oh.. i thot usually is 2 wks once follow by 1 wk once.. i started my biweekly .. into my 28 wks.. i can feel my energy dripping too.. honeymoon period is over soon..! :/
ya...mine has been 'converted' to biweekly too...starting this Friday.....it feels so fast......but i definitely cannot wait for Friday! for baby fair..lol!
mrschievious: wah.. you are good! keke! i feel abit paiseh to keep staring at them.. and yes.. some youngsters are so oblivious to the surrounding nowadays! so engrossed in their hp.. oh.. and FTs too! they usually ignore also.. hmph!
btw, is any mummies here considering to consume their own placenta?? i saw this HeavenlyHealthStore.com coupon in one of the coupon booklet i received from some event on placenta capsules service.. i emailed to ask and it cost about $300.. wonder if i should.. feel abit wasted to throw away the placenta.. lol!
@mrschievious & @chocoholic: I'm normally quite ok without the seat (this one act garang only) lol...but my husband is normally the one who keeps his eyes open for me for the reserved seats..lol....
niwae, consume your own placenta???
I stared at a young chap sitting at the priority seat and waited for a eye contact moment & i smiled at him on the train.
Then he was very awkward n stood up.
But once on a bus my tummy was directly pointing at this young guy (20s) and he act blur and use his phone. I dont need the seat as i am alighting 3 stops after. But when i was alighting, he raised his head & looked at me as i was tapping my card and i gave him a BIG disapproving look & shake my head. LOL. i hope he learnt his lesson that what he just did was not correct.. hahaha
Tis chat is very active! Just manage to catch up on the chat
I'm having a gal too! Me too, have to squeeze on trains and buses. Lucky for me, usually people would give up their seats for me. Think maybe because my tummy looks big.
I'm only seeing my gynae on the 14 Oct and guess after that it would be bi-weekly check ups.
I'm like a hippo now... always need to drink water after every few mins. Any mummies also like this?
Seems like most mummies are going to the Expo on Friday. Do they have more discount on the 1st day? I would most prob go on Sat evening. Hope it wun get too crowded.
@faith86: going on friday to beat the crowd. lol! i drink water frequent, but i also go toilet more frequently..lol!
Wow. you r very brave. I dont dare to do that because to me, that is a kind of "Hey, look here. I have a BIG tummy, so you jolly well get up" kind of threat.
And I believe there are people who may occupy the Reserved Seat because they are sick or having menstrual cramps (for women) or there are people who have just taken their medication, so they may be drowsy, & such reasons are not written on their faces. So I tell myself not to bear any grudges. With such a thinking, my life is happier. :-)
strawberryjay: hahaha! that is a nice move! very inconsiderate of the guy .. tsk tsk! i hope he will rem! esp after he got married and a pregnant wife..
faith86: i think the disc sho be the same for all 3 days .. but if got very good deals on diaper & milk powder, sometimes may sold out? anyway drink water is good! will help lessen water retention i heard..
kokura: yah i try to tell myself that to make myself less unhappy.. thou, sometimes i really feel irritated that nobody does.. haha!
LilMissy & mrschievious: yah i'm still quite undecided.. but moving more towards the "Yes" section currently.. haha.. coz feel that quite a waste to just throw away? and I dont want to handle the Real thing..powder form seems more acceptable? Usually the hospitals will just throw or will pack for you? if pack for you, then you have to decide what to do with it right..?
anyway sharing for all mommies info/reading.. you can read up on it here.. Placenta Encapsulation Review – How, Why, and Does it Work? | Green Idea Reviews

Are you mummies going to buy any infant milk formula to stand by in case not enuff breast milk for baby?
Regarding the placenta, hmm.. think i'll give it a miss..
Just went for my checkup today.. Baby is 1.7kg at 30weeks.. But my gynae appts are up to 3weekly, not biweekly yet
Any mummies done their strep B test yet?
@camcamwhambam: healthy baby you have got there! strep B test?
Mine last visit is 28weeks, still at 4 weeks interval.. so next visit is 32 weeks. Then 3 weeks @ 35 weeks then hopefully is 37 weeks.
I have to wait so long in between, when some of you are already starting bi-weekly visits.. :x
I dont know what is Strep B test too..
i havent start my bi-weekly visits too! my 32 weeks visit will be this coming 14th together with the breastfeeding class and growth scanning..
Oh the B test is when your gynae takes a swab sample from your bottom and sends it to the lab.. About 10-20% of pregnant women carry a certain bacteria that can be passed on to baby during birth.. So this test is to check if you're a carrier of the bacteria.. If yes then can administer medicines earlier..
camcam: wah.. your baby is getting quite heavy but you still looks slim! nice! gynae didnt mentioned about the B test thou.. mayb for the next check up ..
Muffie: my next appt is 14th too! my breast feeding class is today or next wk..
strawberryjay: dont worry.. i believe time is passing quite fast for us nowadays.. esp when baby is constantly on the move.. hee
have you all plan to take the maternity leaves in full 16 wks or?? i think most(all) of us will lugi around 3 PH... Xmas, NY & CNY! sigh...
Hi mummies! Do We have to always handwash our baby clothes, napkins, towels etc?
after speaking to my colleague who is now on maternity leave, i think i will take the full 16 weeks...
i shld be taking the full 16 weeks.
welshia, I also not experienced but i guess its fine whether you wash by hand or machine.
I will see the load and the frequency i can wash.. If a few pieces and i can afford to stall time maybe accumulate and use machine.
If not then hand wash if a few small pieces..
sometimes pieces soiled will have to soak first ..
