Halo Ryca, I'm iron but not calcium deficient so my teeth is perfectly ok! : ) my iron level was dropped from 12.5 to 10.4 and caused my dizziness on and off. I had it sometimes during my driving... Soooooooo scary : (
So mummies, pls take more if you are having dizziness, lightheaded symptoms and it might be caused to low iron in your body.
If you have high blood pressure, can also be presented as dizziness. So just cross check with your blood pressure during check ups.
For the contraction, go in when its 15-20 mins apart. dont't wait till 5 mins, too close already.
I've also taken my maternity shots. A close friend who took our pre wedding photos did for us for free.
Really love it, posted one picture on Facebook already.
Thanks Ryca for the advise! Yup, I have started to boil red date to drink : ) but probably a bit late already.. Haha..
Mhjt, my Gynae advised me to go in ward if
(1) Bleeding ( mucus plug broken)
(2) water bag burst
(3) contraction every 8 mins ( the pain must be unbearable one)
I think I understand (1) and (2) but for (3) if too painful although >10mins apart of contraction but I will still rush into Thomson.. dont know what is my painful threshold.. So scary.....
Did you take up the MUA recommended by Ashley for the shoot?
Ryca, what is MUA?
Oh.. MUA is the make up artist- Aaron, right?
Yup, he did the make up and hairstyling for me at Cuppage Plaza at $70. Not bad although the make up was slightly thick for me, but the studio effect using his make up was just nice. : )
How about you? Will you use the MUA?
Mayb not cos im thinking of putting it on my own but not so sure about the hairdo...ever since got pregnant, my hair look like i just came back from war...
Here's the picture taken by my friend. The rest he have not't had time to edit it. Maybe in a week or so should be able to get the rest of it. I took about 10 different shots, and he will keep the unedited ones for me to have a keepsake of the stretch marks.

Hello Mummies, sorry for going missing!
Neymo, during my number one my gynae burst my waterbag at 12noon, i was already 3cm dilated then and the pain was less than my menstral cramps. I returned to hospital and even thou my contractions were regularly 5 min apart, it wasn't really that painful. But when the real pain starts, IMO was like 50x more painful then my menses (actually my menses dont hurt much) i was already 8 cm and can deliver anytime. It was only like for one hour plus . That time my gyane also said only go in when its so painful you cant talk, but i think if i went in then, I can't even walk! hehehe... It doesnt happen suddenly, it builds up. One thing for sure, if water bag burst still have time to take shower before go hospital! hehehe...
MHJT, still waiting for robinson sales to get new breast pump!! hehehe..
I went for a breastfeeding class, it was like a revision for me! Cos during my number one my girl was big at 3.85kg, she latch for one hour plus and still seemed hungry, and no wet diapers. It was a clear sign she was dehydrated, in this case can supplement with fm. The LC said second time round milk will come in earlier so hopefully no need to supplement.
I think if can get my breast pump before delivery I will bring to KK, mainly to stimulate more milk production. I waited for the hospital one throughout my stay only came once and had to pay for the disposable parts also.. no point!
I think I will get some new nursing bras too, i think i will go get the triump one for CNY then during baby fair get from Autumz booth.. Anyone up for shopping? Its my birthday month! can get discount at Spring Maternity! hehehe..
I went to pay for my hospital stay also. At KK they are doing price revision now, so the money I paid is not confirmed. Last time I paid $2050 they refunded me $850 cheque. Now had to pay $2555. its a $500 increase!!! Hopefully get more refund also!! hehehe...
Thanks luckymum for the sharing!! I really salute your courage to have so high of painful threshold! I really can't imagine if I were you at the situation.. Haha.. Wish me good luck! : )
Mhjt, your friend did a very great job in your maternity photo! The photo looks wonderful : )
Smilem, Ryca and Vodka, these are few photos that Ashley hasnt edited yet but we chose to be included in the album Last night my hubby and I spent about 2 hours to choose 20 photos from 260++ photos that Ashley had shot... haha... quite fun
Mummies, do enjoy the shooting time with Ashley
Nice pics! Choosing pics is always hard hahaha, i rmb we spent like 6 hours choosing our wedding pic last time... Im still waiting for Ashley to slot me in for the shoot, hopefully soon hehe.
Thanks Ryca!! Some photos with our face and our lit precious (baby bump) were looked extremely blissful under Ashley's camera.. : ) But too shy to post in this forum : )
So, you plan to take the photos this month with how many weeks of baby bump? I took it during my 34 weeks and I quite happy to choose that week as I felt fatigue easily after 34 weeks. : )
anybody here who is expecting your second child? i'm expecting my first and i'm feeling quite nervous about the whole giving birth procedure. -_- is it painful if I decided to go without epidural?
Hi sweetvanilla, when r you due?Originally Posted by sw33tvanilla:755043
I'm expecting my no.2 due 3 March. My first was induced labour and I only used the gas and pethidine jab. I didn't go for epidural cos that seems more painful then just bearing with the labour contractions. My pain threshold,I would say its very much will powered driven. This round,I'm opting for no drug at all. And natural labour would be more manageable, since you can time the contractions intervals and be prepared as it comes on. Take one contraction at a time.
Find out about what are the pain relief methods you can go for etc...read up about labour contractions..share your thoughts and fears with your partner and your gynae.
women are meant to bear childbirth..so yeh..we can do it!!
