Hi all, I had went for scheduled (horoscopic timing) c section for both my kids. Just delivered my baby boy in mid feb 13. It's true that c section, taking baby out fm tummy is less than 30 mins. But gynae need about another 30 mins to stitch the opening. So in total, it takes about 1 hr ++. I rested on bed for a day and could get up n walk around on my 2nd day. Stitches removed on 7th day. Overall the pain is still endurable. I'm glad that I didn't went thru the hours of contraction pain, tearing, etc. Heard too many scary experience fm relatives n friends
Hi Joey, your baby in breeching position....have the gynae try to turn the position of the baby. My gf was in her week 36-37 when her baby girl was also in breeching position. her gynae in Thomson Medical Center advised her to go for c section but she didnt want to. She visited my gynae (mt A) for 2nd opinion & he had turned the baby's position for her. She had safely given birth (natural) to a 3.66kg baby girl on 3 April. Not sure whether all gynae willing n practice the adjustment of baby's position but no harm for you to ask your gynae about this FYI.
1 more week!! 1 more week!! And we will hear mummies popping!!!
Just wonder if we can all have a facebook linkup. I am popping on 30 May. :0
Hi all, just saw these posts. Been having a bit of complications after delivery. So been to hospital and gynae visit. One advise for c-sect mom is never stand or walk too much. I had to have a minor womb washing because of excessive bleeding. Then wound site might have inflammation so on 3 courses of antibiotics. Hope to have a fast recovery. And I still a bit regret from not able to have natural birth. Can't even spend a lot of times with my baby.
Hi ping87, how is your baby weight?
To Cony, when is your due & how is your baby weight?
I just visited gynea and baby only increase 20 gram . Next week if not increase a lot, my gynea need to monitory baby heartbeat. My baby head also slanted is that normal ????
2-3 more weeks to go for full term but my gynea mentioned I can deliver anytime from now and provided baby weight increase significantly.
Mjne should be ~ 2.8, will go to check up next week. Why do you need to monitor heart beat if weight doesn't increase a lot?
I'm now 35 weeks only.
My edd is 31st may. I'm going to the gynea later for check up. I have been eating durian, drinking milk, for two weeks.. Of cos not eating durain daily. only bought 1 durian and eat for two days. but i drink milk daily. the problem with me is, i hardly take meat.. My meal mostly veg. Most of the time I eat yong tau foo. Hehe.. Hope there's some weight gaining for the baby cos I can feel my tummy is bigger now..
you can try to eat more durian, and drink milk. I think milk helps alot! Cos initially my baby weight growth very slow also. I also worried. Then I started drink maternal milk, I realize, baby gain faster. But I heard 2.2kg, can deliver . :x so dont't worry. Listen to heart beat is one if the check up process also. How's your diet nowadays?
My baby head is down but facing the side. I will ask my gynea if such case can deliver or not.
Anyone need desitin 16 oz. I have spare to sell at $28 per tub. Expiry only November 2014. Pm me at 90466332. Pick up at punggol or amk.
Thanks all! Gynae said can be the traditional chinese medicine from Thomson that I taking that cause the bleeding. Maybe body not suitable. At first is full breastfeed but after the op, my breastmilk not enough so supplement with fm too while doing exclusive pumping.
Eating durian and milk do help with weight gain like what ping87 said. So try it! But also dont't overdo it on the durian as it is high sugar content. Just 2-3 times will do.
Yeah.. Durian is good but dont't over do it.
I came back from gynea and that my baby head is correct position already. She's 2.5kg now at 35 weeks. Gain about 400-500g within two weeks which is very surprising to me. Now I'm taking easy on milk and durian already. Just normal meals(yummy), multi-vit(yuck) and fish oil(yuck).
Anyway, I have asked my gynea about the clicking(sounds like joint cracking) sound from tummy. He says its possible, cos there might be bubbles in the water bag or baby kicking and causing the sound. Anyway, it's seems no big deal to him. Or maybe I'm the first patient who ask him that. Hahahah!!!
Hi Ping87 & Violetangelz, I took durian pancake yesterday and during nighttime having terrible headache. It seems my blood pressure goes higher again like my first trimester.
My gynea advise to increase my food intake more rice, noodle and sugar.
I am not suitable for maternal milk except milo coz diarrhea and stomach upset after taking it but I will try to drink if that can help my baby weight.
My gynea only prescribed ganillia vitamin to be taken 2 tablets daily.
My baby growth faster up to 35 weeks, weight 2.517 kg, 36 weeks only increase 20 gram.
my gynea will do heartbeat monitor to check the baby growth. Her calculation around 2 weeks more (38 weeks) for me to deliver, provided baby weight increase.
About slanted head, me and husband also surprised. Gynea also mentioned abit difficult to deliver normal. If by next week, my gynea still mention that I will find 2nd opinion from other gynea.
Ping, i am not doing any kind of diet during pregnancy hehe. I am indulging my self with pork belly and any kind of sinful dishes as long as i can. Moreover, my appetite not really increase a lot.
Btw ping, which style you want to use to return back your tummy? Malay style, Chinese style or western style.
