Hi again CynLAI,
did your gynae mention why he/she recommends Mt A over Thomson Medical Center?
This is a discussion on EDD Nov 2013 within the Year 2013 Mummy forum, part of the Mummy Meeting Place category; Hi claval, Yah coconut juice is to cleanse, but dont't forget to eat the flesh too! A lot of my ...
Yah coconut juice is to cleanse, but dont't forget to eat the flesh too! A lot of my friends have been telling me to take nearer my edd so I think it must have really worked! Hee... Hmm... Other than durian, I'm not sure what else is effective for baby weight gain already... Sorry..
my edd is on 11 nov, how about yours? I'm still torn between Mt A and Thomson Medical Center at the moment... Hopefully my hospital tour to Thomson Medical Center this sat will help me decide once and for all..
Oh, curious, why do you choose powder over lotion? I heard powder tend to cause nose sensitivity issues...
For bottle steriliser, I am got 2 at the moment but dont know which is better... But I think we will definitely need it - you will be breast feeding, right?
Hi again CynLAI,
did your gynae mention why he/she recommends Mt A over Thomson Medical Center?
I see...so we should have started the detox fruits around this month then? My sis-in-law told me should take the coconut water once a week only, otherwise it's too cooling...I also got confused with all those heaty and cooling tingy...
I didn't manage to go to the baby fair in expo...there should be another one in Suntec in the coming weeks..not sure its worth going or not..if not, can head to the John Little baby fair this weekend
when is your edd? Mine is 11 nov, so will prolly only start to take towards later part of this month...
Thanks for sharing about the John Little baby fair, looks promising, will definitely head down to take a look!
Did your gynae share why he/she recommends you Mt A over Thomson Medical Center?
Mine is 26 Nov...havent really started stocking up and thus got a bit stressed...will see if can get anything from the John Little Fair...hopefully can get something useful =)
My Gynae said based on her experience, Mt. A has a bigger supporting team and Thomson Medical Center could be real busy sometimes and thus the nurses may not be able to attend your need in time. So all in all, she would go for Mt. A over Thomson Medical Center.
Hope this helps as your ref~
Thanks CynLAI! It's definitely very helpful, I also heard from Mrs Wong that Thomson Medical Center can real busy at times... So maybe I'll go Mt A in the end...
you may also wanna shop online at Qoo10 sg? I bought lotsa of baby stuff there, and maternity stuff too.. I find that the prices are much more attractive than retails and other online shops.. But then again, Qoo10 sg is more for smaller items like baby swaddle, baby rompers, mmaternity dresses and bras, accessories etc.. Bigger items must really head down to retails...
I have seen some Qoo100 shops selling baby stuff but have not really tried them yet, you think the quality is ok? any good seller that you would recommend?
Guess I can start drinking the coconut juice to detox,as have been eating a lot of chilli...hehe.Oh my Edd is on the 29th nov,but very worried might give birth early as this is my 3rd child. My 2nd one was early as well. How about you?Is this your 1st kid or?
I m using powder cos as it smell nicer and they won't be that sticky as they sweat. But I didn't know about nose sensitivity,so far no issue. What brand of bottle sterilizer you using? Can share?
Hopefully I can breast feed for this one,as my previous two kiddo fails.
I've bought quite a lot of stuff on Qoo10, and yes I can definitely recommend a few better sellers online.. Perhaps you can let me know what you are looking for so I can zoom in to the category for you? eg, baby clothes, baby cloth diapers, baby chair, diaper lotion, husk bean pillow?
For husk bean pillow: Qoo10-Singapore - Maternity / Baby - ORGANIC/100% Natural handmade bea...=;
My personal review is that it's more on the lighter side, so not sure if baby will feel 'safe' enough, however, light may be good since it's going onto the belly of baby...
For cloth diaper: Qoo10-Singapore - Maternity / Baby - Alva Baby Cloth Diapers + 1 Free ...
I did asked in this thread previously if any mummies would like to bulk buy together with me, as the seller provides bulk purchase from 5 diapers onwards. If you are keen to buy more than 5, then better to approach the seller directly via her email address, as she is able to give bulk purchase discount and will also throw in freebies. I bought 8, and got bulk discount and freebies with free registered courier. The designs are very cute and material is comfortable enough. I am very satisfied with this seller.
So you are an experienced mummy!
haha... Yes, this is my first kiddo.. I think we can learn more from you!
I forgot which brands I've got, let me check and get back to you.. But these are hand-me-downs so I also dont know which is better. However, I heard from my friend who is using Pigeon brand for sterilizer, and she said it's good.
Oh, how come your previous two fail to BF? Can share experience?
Have you got baby diaper lotion? body wash etc? And the bedding as well?
Been seeing some baby clothes too..but havent got any yet, you got good ideas?
For diaper lotion, I choose to use Desitine. You may want to buy from this seller: Qoo10-Singapore - Maternity / Baby - BYE BYE DIAPER RASH - DESITIN (Cr...=; Delivery is fast, and product is much cheaper than in stores.
For body wash, I bought Pigeon brand from Taka fair a while ago.. Bedding I will prolly get them from John Little Baby Fair this weekend. If you are considering buying waterproof bedsheet protector, can try this seller: Qoo10-Singapore - Maternity / Baby - BYE BYE DIAPER RASH - DESITIN (Cr...=;
I bought 1 cartoon sheet and 1 bamboo sheet; I encourage you to get the bamboo fibre one coz it's much much softer than the cartoon sheet...
For baby clothes, there are many sellers online, so it's up to you which design you like to go for.. For me, as long as the reviews for each seller are not bad, I will usually give them a try.. But I also got a few baby clothes from baby fairs, usually a couple of pieces for $10 or smth like that. Oh, if you do go to John Little Fair this weekend, you can try their new clothes line called George. They too sell baby clothes - cheap and good quality too.
Hope this helps!
You have a nice weekend & happy hunting for our babies~~
Anybody looking for confinement nanny? I have mine to highly recommend. She is very experienced and used to be from a reputable agency but now working on her own so looking for clients. She can cook excellent confinement dishes, have knowledge of herbs and traditional chinese medicine. Her handling of baby is highly raved. She sings n talks to my boy when he is awake. Can tell she is very passionate in her work.. My boy was born 3.20kg but now he's a month old and almost 4.5kg! She is pro-breastfeeding and even helped me to get hot towel to massage my breasts. My breast milk is over productive thanks to her cooking.. So I am helping her to find her next customer as she is very good! Interested pls PM me, I am sure she will be very popular once she is in the market for sometime n not bounded by agency. you can quote my name to get a discount!
Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing okay my little girl has been very active, constantly moving day & night. Been getting alot of bodyaches. Anyone experienced braxton hicks? I have no idea how its suppose to feel like.
I think I experienced once, in the middle of the night, when i woke up to visit the toilet... It's like the tummy suddenly hardened, very uncomfortable feeling.. but after I walked a bit, the feeling subsided..
Oh. My girl also active day and night... I dont know she is angry with me or enjoying in my tummy. Yes. i also have bodyache.. not only legs.. the whole body. but leg is the worst.. I have this pain when i hold to go toilet for pee. after that can't even walk properly for a while..
And sometimes stomach feel so tight.. i thought my baby move all the way to the front so not comfortable..
I still feel more comfortable sleeping on my back. Girl fusses alot more when I sleep on my sides with bolster. Then hubby told me that I started to snore too. Lol...Really dont know which position to sleep in now. Maybe our bodyaches are due to our limited sleeping postures?Originally Posted by Thelay:824849
Peeing for me is still okay. Not much pressure, just keep reminding myself to pee every 2hrs and drink enough water.
Ganbatte to all! As much as we have a love hate r/s over being preggers, I bet I will miss it after popping. Coz our lives will have a huge change soon
