Thanks baby wipes!
Alisa, I was 48kg before preg. At 32 wks I was 59 and baby 1.6kg. Maybe check with your doc why the concern and what's his estimation of baby weight at birth? My gynea said my baby girl is likely to be 2.8kg. Perhaps his concern is about glucose and not weight.

hello mummies, reading your posts is making me a little worried now!! My baby's weight was estimated at 2.47Kg when i went for a check at week 33 and i'm guessing when i have my next check on monday at week 35, he'll be likely reaching 2.8-2.9kg?! and we still have 5 more weeks to go!! i'm not that big a mummy. pre pregnancy i was 46-47kg..so you can imagine my pelvics ain't that wide too.. do you think the doc will ask me to go for C-section!? I dont't really eat a lot, but i do force a glass of milk down everyday since i got pregnant.. do you think i shoudl stop that to slow down baby's growth? or maybe take more coffee as caffine has been said to reduce baby's weight right?
another question on coconut juice.. do you ladies get a mensus cramp feeling after drinking it? I've been trying to drink once a week and i always get cramps after... is this normal? should i increase or decrease the frequency?
and lastly, do you think it's ABSOLUTELY necessary to have a different dishwashing detergent for baby bottles etc? i'm thinking when we were kids growing up there weren't any of these special dishwashing soaps for babies.. so is this really neccessary?
thanks in adavnce mummies..
KBH, I think you may check on what you eat daily, try some healthy food, low fat high fibre. Dont drink coffee, I drink coffee due to addicted but baby is also 2.2kg at week 32. I would like baby's weight below 3kg at birth, but my appetite too good, no vomit since pregnant. I will try to control my weight.
I drink 2 coconut last week, but no cramp at all. 3rd trimester will experience different level of contraction, you should Check with your gynea about the cramp. dont't eat coconut as its high cholesterol
i think if you wash the bottle immediately, just use brush and sterilizes by hot water will do. Well, if you buy detergent you can you it to wash vegetable also.

Hi kbh, is yours baby boy? Boys tend to be heavier. My cousin lighter than me gave birth to baby boy 3.4 naturally. you shouldnt drink coffee just to make the weight come down. But if you say you are forcing yourself to drink milk everyday maybe you dont't have to force drink daily but only every other day? As long as you're eating healthily dont stress yourself with worry. I have not't been drinking coconut and have not't gotten baby dishwasher so not sure about those...
yups Marchies, i'm expecting a baby boy. Am not sure if i'm eating healthy or not actually.. haha. i had no increased in appetite till 3 weeks back as i was throwing up almost everynight after dinner.. i've been eating a lot of salad and subway sandwiches as those were the only foods i can keep down.. i was even worried that the baby wasn't getting enough, but apparently my gynae is saying his weight gain is ok and i have gained about 10-12kg so far (not sure where that came from since i really dont't eat that much aside for the daily milk)...
Hi mummies, please join KiddySky Singapore for great offer and tips sharing.
hi Marchies, yes, doc is concern about her glucose level...
Anyone plan to donate cord blood?
they have no idea just as we dont know what they have suffer physically n mentally confined in ns. i told my hubby that im carrying sbo full pack everday whereever i go. he kp quiet...
wow. im only 33 weeks n baby is only 1.8kg. i have gained 17kg since preg, n ppl asks if im having twins. omg .
im expecting baby boy. you guys r doing great!
Hi everyone, Last sat just visit my gynae. At 34weeks my baby weighs 2.3kg. Total weight gain is 5kg. My vaginal swab test result is negative. blackroselian, mine tummy also very big, also ask by stranger am I having twins. Hehe. Anyone having loose bowel? I'm having loose bowel for the pass 1 week, tummy ache on and off.. sigh...
Happy Weekend mummies
Hi all, yes we r donating our baby girl's cord
Blood this time round. We kept our elder's girl with stemcord. But after reading some
Forum n weighing the pros n cons, we w donate this time round while continue to store our
Elder's for just in case purpose.
In my 31 weeks check, baby was 1.54kg n me? Haha I lost track of my weight gain. I dont eat much too but weight still increase. Gynae says he is happy w e weight gain as long as is not more than 2kg. Your weight gain does not equal to yur baby weight gain. Some
Mummies put on weight on themselves rather than baby.
Like me. Haha.. Babies w still grow no matter what you eat, they just absorb from you.. I have friends who barely put on much but go on to have babies like over 3kg n more naturally.. Heex.
As for baby washing detergent n bottle detergents, I prefer to use those cos is milder to the skin n e
Bottle detergents r made of food grade, hence just in case, is not thoroughly clean.. It w not
Cause harm to e lil bodies. N breastmilk is super oily.. Need detergent to wash for sure.
Hope this helps..
i just went for my regular gynae check this morning... Baby is now 2.8kg and i'm week 35.5 now. I put on another 1kg (and i'm hoping it's just water retention...so total wt gain is 11kg) he did mention that i can stop my daily milk intake now since i dont't like milk so that's good news for me. by the way things are looking, he's thinking that i should be delivering in 3 weeks (which means i'm going to be a sept mummy instead of Oct!!). the unfortunate thing is baby is facing the wrong way.. he's looking up instead of facing down and that may cause me to have looooong lab ours and end up with C-sect too... i'm hoping and praying there's a way for baby to turn in the next 2.5 weeks...
we did talk about possibly inducing the baby at week 38 so that he won't be such a big baby (and i won't be in so much pain).. have any of you heard anything good / bad about inducing labours?
as for detergent.. i may just relent and secretly buy when my husband is not around.. he's quite adamant that normal detegent suffice since we didn't have any of these special detergents when we were growing up too...
Hi Mummies, hope all of you are well.
Getting tough in 3rd Trimester. My boy is 2kg at week 33,so far i gain 10kg. starting to have heartburn problem, i can't lie down to sleep, getting recliner sofa to sleep. thru out pregnancy always fall sick easily like flu cough....Now is rashes all over my body! How i wish this itchiness can go away!!! Anyone got any good solutions?
I went for hypo birthing classes, hoping to use no drug during delivery. The Maternity Bag is all ready, this weekend gg to wash baby clothes
Trying to stay positive mood, cause receently my coy got retrenchment exercise,i was spared becos i was preggy, but this mean More Work for me....
Hihi! i guess we're all counting down the days.
My baby's 2.7kg at 36 weeks. heavy according to my doc. i dont wanna talk about my over the moon weight gain..sigh. otherwise all is good, though she's not engaged yet.
About induction - mixed stories .. during antenatal classes the midwife did say inducing can be counter productive and stall labour in the end (just like other medical interventions), increasing chances of c-sect. i told my gynae i just want to avoid csect. but at the end of the day, the birthing process is so unpredictable and unique for each one of us, it's really hard to plan for!
Meowmummy, take care! more warm water and kiwi/vitamin C.. need to be well to push! Also try to avoid crowds? Just eat in at lunch time for example. when does your maternity leave start?
Personally for me, i just hope baby dont't grow too big, and when contractions start, hope to stay at home as long as possible before checking in (you know hospital got a 2nights turnaround time right.. haha. our packages are 3-4 days!) so I am afraid to check in too early, then strap me to a bed and labour stalls, then i think quite jialat.. confirm will have to do augmentation etc and if it doesn't work within the time frame, will be c sect!
Yes yes, stay positive. happy midweek!
My baby boy 1.6kg at 31weeks, my gynae told me consider big baby. bt my weight only gain 6.5kg since pregnant.my gynae so worry about my weight, bt i dont know want to keep eating or start diet cos worry bibi later too big.
i agree with mums the word, you need to take vitamin C to build up your immune system, especially if you have been having the sniffles throughout your pregnancy... you still have some time (7weeks?), so please take care and more water, and daily dosage of vit C!
