Ya can't stand Palmers. I'll wait till 16 week or so to start using all these creams...
A mummy: Good luck and jia you!!
I am thinking of using Bio Oil to avoid stretch mark. I ever heard a blogger using it throughout her pregnancy and she mentioned she had very minimal stretch marks. Not sure how true because I believe she was sponsored. She told me she started using during her first trimester.
I personally tried it a few times on my scar, it's very moisturizing to my skin. A little too oily if over applied.
And yes, I have also started browsing around for maternity clothes and sleepwear because my bump is getting bigger. Other than ASOS, has anyone ordered those cheaper ones $20-$40 from those TW/Korean-style maternity wear blogshops? I am quite tempted by the cheap price and cute apparel which seems suitable to wear even after pregnancy.
@ A mummy - dont't worry.. I felt cramps too n was miserable n thought I had a miscarriage. As long as no bleeding, we Shld be fine. Must be positive. I also paranoid but we learn cheer up ok!
Will go uniglo when I feel more up to it n check out the soft bra.!
I'll check it out soon...thanks for your recommendation.. Hope the misery of finding that perfect bra is over. My current ones from VS the biofit,it's great but too small now. I cant afford to shop at VS again now. Their bras pricey fr the comfortable fit kind.Hope to go Uniqlo soon.
Sunbeams and skt thank you... I'll try to keep my spirit high.
Mummies, are your tummies obvious? I m into week 11, but since last week got people asking if I m preg
@A mummy and @Sunbeams hope the uniqlo bra will be comfy for you gals too!
Is it ok to not eat meat or eat very little meat during pregnancy? I tend to throw up if I Eat meat. They dont't even digest after 4-5 hours
Funny.. I also dont't fancy meat much. Used to be a carnivore! Hmm have not't taken beef coz must be fully cooked so am sure wont taste great. But am enjoying fries a lot!!
I also crave for fries!!!
I am the opposite. I am a carnivore and still am. I started to take alot of veg just a year before I got pregnant, but now suddenly the taste of veg turns me off..
My colleagues say they can see the bump from the side if they look hard enough, coz I had a really flat tummy before. But if they didnt know me they'd just think I have a thick waist n a tummy. HahaOriginally Posted by mrsvistamio:766173
I used to crave fries too! But suddenly my stomach couldn't digest fries. So now when I crave Filet O Fish burger with extra tartar sauce, I'll order corn cup. Seems like vegetables and fruits agree with my stomach. Maybe easier to digest? Though I have been craving duck meat. have not't taken beef yet cos I love it but scared I'll puke it now with the ms and get turned off by it. Have already planned a feast to Chris Ruth Steak House on our wedding anniversary in June when I'm in second trimester! Hopefully no more ms.
My stomach looks rounder! I cannot decide if it's cos i grew fatter ( though I lost weight ) , the baby or the bloat. Sometimes it returns to normal size after I manage to clear my bowels!! LOL.
Morning ladies! TGIF! Finally weekend is here and I will be going back to my mum's place to stay for a few days. Nowadays I tend to move back to her place where I feel more comfy. My flat has not arrived and staying with my mother in law, I feel abit retricted though she doesn't control me at all.
I wonder if those maternity clothes from BKK are worth getting, i believe they are cheaper than sg...
And yes, I quite like enjoy eating fries, especially the cheese fries from KFC! I am not a fan of potato but I guess the little one seems to like potato! But I try to avoid fries from MacDonalds, those are too salty. I also like sausages, but sausages are actually made up of the unwanted parts from pig or chicken right? Sounds so gross and super unhealthy!
By the way, has anyone gone to Mothercare sales at Harbourfront? My colleague told me the deals were not bad and last day sale is this Sunday.
I didn't go to the Baby Fair at expo last month, am thinking to go again this month to take a look. I seriously have no idea what to buy first.. and which are good which are not... woes of first-time mum-to-be. I read somewhere dual pump for expressing milk gets sold out pretty fast during deals.
Baby Fair at expo: 22 Mar 2013 - 24 Mar 2013.

@skt : Though I dont't stay with my in laws, I understand what you mean by restrictive. I stayed at my mom's past two days and realised even my mom was restricting me! But own mom easier to ignore. LOL.
Not gonna buy any baby things yet cos we are renovating our new place and moving in hopefully by May. So no point buying then have to move them. I know there's some "pantang" about moving / renovation during pregnancy but no choice and we choose not to believe. Our rental is ending in May also. Hopefully no need to extend and can have own place in a few months!!
@A mummy : How did your doctor's appointment go?
Anyone not intending to take a confinement lady? :/
