I think moving house is okay, as long as you dont't move the furnitures yourself, sort of to avoid hurting yourself. And avoid cutting anything on the bed. I am half-pantang, as long as I feel it is easy to "comply", I will go ahead and believe it.
me! My mum is quite worried that confinement lady may not meet what we want, and living habit is different, plus some of them may cost $2-3K excluding mopping the house and clothes washing. So what she suggests is, she will take leave for a month to help me look after baby, cook whatever she can (with advices from experienced aunties), after that she will resume to work while i take care of baby after the confirment month and she will prepare food before/after her work.
One suggestion, good to move back to own's mum's place for confinement, i am sure we will feel more comfy back there and more convenient to ask whatever we need.
My cousin actually cried during her confinement with her mother in law staying over at her place. Sometimes she was craving for a particular food, but she dare not asked, scared would trouble her mother in law. Instead of cooking for my cousin, her mother in law bought her fried bee hoon.
mrsvistamio: same same, dont't really like fish and the fishy smell, food court oily smell makes me want to puke. But I quite like steam cod fish. No smell but tastes not bad inside the mouth.
Something to share again, for mummies who get tired during and after pregnancy (confinement period), red date tea is not bad to boost us some energy. Red date (with seeds) and dried longan (both available at traditional chinese medicine) to soak in hot water, and we just have to drink that. Can be used to substitute plain water! I am going to try it. Really hate plain water these days, tongue is still bland and metallic.
Also I was looking www for some pregnancy milk samples to decide to buy or not as my friend told me pregnant mothers need to drink some milk like Anmum and happen to see that Dumex has a welcome pack inclusive of pregnancy milk for mummies.
I signed up and received a call from Dumex for some questions to prescribe me the milk to drink. Weeks later, I received free samples (to drink day and night), some vouchers and a small organizer bag to hold baby accessories. No hard selling or whatever. See if anyone of you are keen.
