I can't recall whether I use maternity pad last pregnancy. What I remember is using the normal long type cos it's come with the wing. So I bought Sofy comfort nite 41cm long
I m attending my prenatal class next week, it will take 1 month to complete..the nurse share with me a video in YouTube on breast feeding too..not sure if you can post here, pm me if anyone is keen
hi faithmummy thanks for the share pm you my email address d xD
Thanks ladies!! You are all really helpful.
I'm starting my antenatal classes this Friday. Should finish just before my EDD. Excited!
Normal nite use pad is better then maternity pad, is hard to tie. Try wear dress pj w/ easy button down front. Dress cos more easy for nurses to help you change pads during the 1st,2nd day n easy for gynea to check your stitches. Front bottom must make sure easy for you to bf.
I have completed my antenatal class. Right now, have been doing the taught exercises like pelvic floor, pelvic tilt etc. I do hope they will somehow relieve abit during my labour.
By the way, does anyone know the average market rate for getting a jamu massage during confinement period?
climsp: For the normal pad, will the net-layer stick to our wound or stitches? This is something I am worried about.
Csection for my #1, but from a friend who natural birth, she feel is normal pad is more comfortable also. Sofy brand is good!
wanna ask you girls, have you bought your breast pumps yet? if yes, it is better to buy double or single? I'm looking at the philips avent electric single...not sure if i can handle double pumps at one go? any thoughts?
also, should i wait until confirm have milk then buy? anyone knows which place has a good deal for avent pumps/
Today I went for my gynae visit. The nurse told me I dont't have to take glucose test, thank God!
But gynae says baby too heavy.. 2kg at 32 weeks.
my baby also 2kg at 32 Weeks.two more day to 33 weeks already
2kg at 32 Weeks sounds acceptable to me, when I was at my 29 weeks, my baby was already 1.6kg which gynae told me it's normal.
babywipes: i bought medela single pump , not willing to invest too much in breastmilk pumps.
Skt - when I was at 29 weeks going into 30.. My baby was 1.5kg n gynae said a little big?
maybe coz I m petite. Next appt another 2 weeks time. Hope baby not too huge!
Also, how often r mummies seeing gynae? Still 4 weeks once or now twice weekly?
Sunbeams: oh! yah, maybe it's because of our individual size.
Starting from this month, I am going once every 2 weeks for gynae visit. The thought of going into labour pain is making me nervous.
1.5kg at 29weeks is a little big coz it's almost at 90th percentile..
you can refer to the study done in Singapore
I read from a Dumex pregnancy guide, it was written between 29-32weeks, baby should weigh about 1.7kg, after that additional about 300grams every week.
oops! Mine is 1.6kg.
Hi, anyone bought bengkung (tummy bandage)? Which type n where to buy?
My gynae says baby should be 1.5-1.8 but mine is 2-2.2kg now...
Now I'm so super conscious of what I eat. And trying not to eat cakes and chocolates is killing me
Im really afraid baby will be too birth at delivery, though my mum says baby big nicer to carry haha. So better listen to gynae and endure,..
My next gynae visit is 3 weeks later. He also has given me the admission letters and asked me to bring with me everywhere I go. It makes me nervous man.
Remember I mentioned about this program "one born every minute UK"? It's about childbirth... For me it prepares me for delivery but I dont't think everyone can take it. I'm afraid some mums may be even more afraid after watching. I really hope I can ensure the pain and without epidural!'
StellaC, when is your due date? So early doc give you admission letter already? you may have a look on babycenter.com I found its useful as a lot of stuff regards pregnancy n new born info. Currently I listen the 'handkerchief meditation' from babycenter before sleep. It's help me calm down n relax, hope that this will be useful when giving birth. My 7yrs old son also like it, it's help him to settle down to sleep
